Hi everyone,

I'm a British student, and I'm pretty much a lucid dream newbie. I had a spontaneous lucid dream about three years ago, and ever since, I've tried on and off to have another. I had no success as I wasn't patient enough about developing my dream recall, keeping a dream journal, etc.; which is why I've joined this forum -- hopefully it'll help me stay motivated!

The main website has been a really useful resource, and it looks like the forums will be too. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

      Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I remember my first lucid dream quite well, and it was quite long. I was dreaming (non-lucidly) that I was in my house, being attacked by werewolves, and I fell to the floor. At that point I became aware that I wasn't just lying on the floor, I was also lying in bed dreaming. I forced myself back into the dream, and transformed myself into a mutant jaguar-human to fight off the werewolves. After that, I stayed in the same form and somehow came to a mountain road that was covered in snow. When I came to a bend in the road, I lost control and skidded off the side of the mountain. I became a bat, then a raven (possibly the other way around), and finally a pink, glowing human-ish form that floated; after that, I lost lucidity.

Quite successful for a first LD! You can probably see why I want to do it again

That sounds really fun! Well done! I am not into all the fantasy stuff so I have serious dreams to search inside my self, but...keep it up!

Oh, I'd like to have serious self-exploration dreams too; in fact that's a big part of why I finally decided to try to learn to lucid dream properly. But I have to admit, the fun of running around and fighting things is also a huge incentive
