I'm assuming you breathe through your mouth? I would suggest breathing through your nose. |

I been trying to go to sleep while still conscious and my mouth getting dry is what is stopping me . I have had this problem for years and it is pretty bad/annoying. I have tried humidifiers and lately have been drinking lots of water. I try to do a WILD and have to swallow to produce spits because my mouth is so dry, which ruins my focus and I can't do a wild. I have been trying to do a WILD for 3 nights now and this is my main problem. Any ideas on how to make this go away or lessen it? |

When I say 'I see!' - I've opened not my eyes, but my mouth.
I am on medication that probaly causes dry mouth. I do drink coffee but lately have been drinking lots of water to make up for it. I usually just go straight to bed when I first fall asleep. Then I will wake up in the middle of the night on my own and remeber a dream and write it in my journal. I then try to count my breath and go back to bed trying to get a WILD, but the breathing makes my mouth dry and I have to keep making my mouth wet which causes me to lose concentration. |

Maybe you could take a sip of water but don't swallow it. I mean about the smallest amount of water you could take from a cup and just keep it in your mouth. It's a long shot but it may work. |
