Am I WILDing/ is this LDing?

ok, this is my first forum and my first day since the first night ive tried LDing...(confusing?) anyway, at nights when I'm laying down getting ready to sleep, a bunch of wierd thoughts come into my head, or as I like to call them, mini-dreams (In a "minidream", I will be emptying the trash or driving, but there is no dialogue and images float around randomly). I'm in that stage between being awake and asleep, and i can consciously wake up- I can also controll the mini-dreams that I am having, but when I do, I am in a more alert state of consciousness(I can feel the sheets and hear sounds etc...) I assume this isn't WILDing, as It happens every night completely unintentionally, but if it is, I would like to know (and i would be a little disappointed :p )

Also, last night, after reading the tutorial on how-to ld on this sight, i had a dream where I was underwater and I was holding my breath. After a bit i realized that I didnt have to hold my breath and could breath underwater, so i stopped holding my breath and started breathing again (this is in by dream, i assume i was still breathing in reality) The reason I'm not sure that this is LDing is because I didnt realize that I was in a dream, I only knew somehow that I didnt have to hold my breath.
So my questions are, am I wilding, or are those just random clips that come to my mind, and does anyone else have them?
and was I LDing when I realized I could breath without holding my breath under water, or not?

      Thanks!

      Welcome to Dream Views!

I don't think what you described is WILDing. While in a lucid dream state, I usually have no awareness of my actual body, aside from constant breathing (heh, once I even figured out what side I was sleeping on based on which nostril I could breathe out of during a nose RC).

What you're describing sounds much like hypnogogic imagery, which is perfectly normal and common among all dreamers. You seem to have a good grip on it, which may help you for certain WILD-based techniques.

Hmm. I wouldn't count it as a lucid dream unless you knew you were dreaming. But hey, it sounds like you're only a step away from becoming lucid in that situation. Woot!
