      Hello everyone...

I am new to this forum, but not at all new to lucid dreaming. I came across Dreamviews after I decided to continue my study of LD's. I am glad to see that people have come together to share and explore the incrediible sleep world that all of us experience almost daily.
Like most...I began to have LD's during my early teen years. And after talking to my closest friends about our dreams, I discovered my dreams were more vivid and lengthy than theirs.
I played around with waking up during dreaming, and on occasion having some control. In my early 30's I found several books on LD, (no internet!).
My dream life then moved into a higher level. The spinning technique was a revelation, along with reality checks, my favorite is looking at printed words and seeing them changing.
I have spent long periods in LD's, using various methods to reinforce the realness and content. I am mostly self taught, experimenting and learning of the best methods to wake up in my dreams.
I am a firm beleiver that my dreams are like a visit into my brain as my body rests, and many of the old/new situations and regular places that I visit are insights into the inner workings of the mind.
I will share my LD experiences, successes, failures, perhaps some of my life as a different person, visits with special people, and my 'frightmares' that have followed me year after year.

Thank you Brandon and Burns, although I seem to be the 'senior citizen' on the forum, I do have something to contribute here, if everyone will put up with me.
LD's and I have had a long relationship, for me its as if I have lived another lifetime elswhere.
      Again thanks for the welcome.

Thank you Mes Tarrant for the welcome. I am looking forward to sharing some of my LD adventures with everyone.
A week ago I had an LD...I was in the cast of the Sopranos!
Tony was handing out stacks of cash we made from stolen car deals. I knew I was in an LD, so did he, told me not to look at him so much!
I just played along to avoid getting hurt.

Haha! Sounds like a good choice of action.

I think it'd be wonderful if you started a dream journal on here. There's a separate section where members can create and update their own dream journals. I'd love to read yours.

you're lucky with your ability to do such things.

right now im to the point where my dreams are very long, and i remember very little details. sometimes i catch myself in them, but not near as often as i want to.

i've never heard of the reality check thing. im going to begin all that tonight. you've got to start somewhere!

      Hi Northwest,

I dont have those long dreams very often, but when I do I easily jump into LD. I'm hoping to have more of those 'all night' LD's, but my sleep patterns are not what they used to be.

I think that doing those reality checks when awake during your normal day is vital to realizing and becoming lucid in your dreams.
Just going thru the physical motions of touching something, spinning, asking yourself out loud, reading posters and billboards, become behavoirs that are easy to recognize when we are dreaming.

      Just my own observations,
