      Question WILD help

i'm pretty new to all this stuff, so maybe i just need more practice. but i tried to WILD and stuff happened but it didn't really work. Here's how it happened:

i went to sleep for about 6 hours, woke up on my own (i wasn't actually planning to WILD but when i woke up i thought i'd give it a try.) i did the whole breathing/counting thing till my legs and part of my arms were numb/tingly. i felt the vibrations ur supposed to feel, but i felt like 5 of them and some of them felt more like a shiver than a vibration (i don't know if that makes any sense, but whatever). then my eyelids started to twitch rapidly for a while, and then everything stopped and i felt like i had failed the WILD.

i did a few reality checks to make sure i was awake, and i was. anyone have any ideas what i did wrong? thanks

Keep laying there, and make sure not to focus on anything that happens, no matter what. Dont move or respond to anything, even if it feels weird, your body is trying to trick you. hope this helps!

I don't want to start a new thread because I need WILD help as well. (I hope I don't abuse your thread, frostblade...)

When I try to WILD (usually in the afternoon) I have difficulties in the transition phase. The circumstances are as they should (darkness in my room, earplugs in my ears, I won't be disturbed etc.) and then I try to fall asleep. Some minutes later, after lying completely still, I feel a pricking, tingly sensation in my legs and arms, no, actually in my whole body and I see some images before my closed eyes. This comes somehow passively and I'm not completely aware of myself... kind of, it's hard to describe. However, as soon as I feel this sensation I get like "this is it. Now I'm really close.", so I regain full awareness and the sensation fades away. It has happened like this about ten times 'till now and it's really frustrating. The problem is that I now the sensation of transitioning because I coincidentally did it a few weeks ago without knowing WILD, DILD or even DV; and without entering a LD, btw.
I also tried to count "1, I'm dreaming. 2, I'm dreaming..." but it was the same. I even tried to FILD with my left index and middle finger, and again the same result.
It seems, I can't stay at ease when I feel the begin of the transition. When I calm myself, try not to get too excited, I become too aware to be able to "fall asleep".

Have you had similar difficulties when trying to WILD? How have you eliminated them?

I think you were doing well, i think these twitches you described were as Clairity described in her tutorial, ways that your body checks if you are awake or not, if your stuck with it i suggest you check out Clairitys WILD tutorial, it works well! As for your eyes moving rapidly, i'm not sure about that but it could have been just a random reflex you had of some sort.

Heres the link to Clairitys WILD tutorial http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=37769

From what I'v read in most places, only do a reality check as a last resort. Or when things go weird, because apparently they make it so you suddenly go "Oh ace, I'm dreaming".

But whatever you do, don't do what I do and just go "Oh I'm dreaming" then just try and do something impossible (like try and zap something like Dr. Doom from The Fantastic Four).
