      Some newbie questions...

Hey, guys, I just have a few questions, newbie that I am...

I had heard of lucid dreams before, and had been trying to have them for sevral months. I realized I was dreaming twice, but woke up immeaditely afterwards. The night after I visited this site, I had my first LD! A few problems, though, I couldn't really controll anything. I kept chanting "I will escape the bonds of gravity" (Learned that somewhere else) over and over to try to fly, but no luck. Any advice?

I've also seen the abbriviation WILD around the forums, and i'm not too clear on what that means...

Finally, a forum question, are newbies allowed avatars? If not, it's no big deal, I'll just have to get some more experience, won't I?

And yes, you can have an avatar. Just load one form a computer, link, or from the gallory!

About the whole waking up thing...this happens to MOST nOObs who are attempting to attain lucidity. The more you do it, the more time you will be able to stay in the dream...its almost like building endurance, because the dream world is so exciting! Now...the key is to remain calm and active...try and do things without thinking and getting anxious, etc!

Keep it up, and keep us posted.

      by the way-welcome!

Since all your questions have been answered to perfection, I guess all I can do is welcome you, so:

      WELCOME!!!!
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
