      can i call it my first lucid?

      i had a dream where i was certain i was dreaming. problem is it only lasted a few seconds, and was very hazy....but i knew i was dreaming.

      so can i call it my first LD???

      Matt5678, if you knew you were dreaming.. then you had a lucid dream!

      Congratulations as any lucid dream (no matter how short) is something to celebrate!

      Also the important thing to remember is that you got lucid and that it will happen again! Remaining in a lucid dream will come with practice!

      Always remember Matt, lucid dreams can be as short as a split second and last up to an hour or maybe longer, i'm not sure, but as long as you are aware that you are dreaming whilst still in the dream state you are definately having a lucid dream. Congratualtions though, it is a taster and now you know what it is like i am sure you will continue to have more, good luck
