I think a main problem may be your anxiety, Skewed. It takes a lot to get over the fear of nightmares (believe me, I know), but you should try to lessen your anxiety of them. Everyone has nightmares at some time or another, but anticipating them or fearing them, before they happen, is just most likely to cause them.

I think that now, with your having just joined Dream Views, is a really good time for you to try to take another perspective on these nightmares. Exploring your dream state should be considered an adventure. Of course, you are going to have experiences that aren't going to always be pleasant, but you are also going to have some of the most amazing experiences you've ever had. Fearing the nightmares, and depriving yourself of sleep so that they don't come, is doing nothing good for you.

Start writing down your experiences. Start up your dream journal and go into all of this with the frame of mind that you're here to explore your mind, come what may. I've had some really horrible experiences before, wants I became an oneironaut (my journal is full of them) but I've figured them all to be worth it, because of the incredible experiences that I've had. It's all part of the discovery process.

I am not that experienced as oneironaut and maybe what i will tell will not have as much significance. But still. I love my nightmares. They tell me something about what I have blockated in the past. I have made habit from studying them. Its lot of fun sometimes, but sometimes it can become pretty crazy.

Try this perspective. Not as deep in past. People here told me. Just relax and use everything bad in your advantage. But dont be too drastic. If you are. You will only cause your brain to counterattack. Be one with your subconscious. Be correct and calm to yourself. Becouse you deserve it. Sometimes treat yourself like a child. Forgive yourself like your parents would. Its your world and you are the only one who can bring light within. So start doing it now. Explore the world of lucid dreaming becouse you want to find peace within yourself. And trust me. Your subconscious will reward you for each minute you give it in a dream overtime.

Love your inner self and it will start to love you.

      NO WAR PLEASE

      Have fun lucid dreamer.
