Thanks, well I got kind of interested in the idea of lucid dreaming a while ago and at the time had some recurring dreams of tsunamis coming. One of the dreams I realized I were dreaming as the wave hit and ran around on top of the water yelling that I was dreaming but the excitement woke me up. It was a cool experience but I kind of just ignored it until maybe a month ago when I started getting back into the idea. Since then I started checking my hand throughout the day for 5 fingers, and have had 2 cases where I had more and less than 5 fingers in my dream causing me to lucid dream... Neither time were long or controlled. After this I've started writing in a dream journal and the recall is improving I'm just at a debate because I love smoking weed, but at the same time I really love the idea of controlling my dreams.

      MJ and Lucid Dreams

I just woke from a lucid dream and it led me here. When I smoke weed regularly, my ability to have vivid non-lucid dreams disappears. Then when I stop smoking, I have vivid, amazing, almost life altering non-lucid dreams for the first week or so after quitting smoking. The dream I just had was a typical lucid dream for me. I dreamt that I was unable to control my body, but could see my surroundings, almost as if I was awake. When I realize I am dreaming, I have the ability to alter my perceptions, i.e. a beautiful woman just walked in the room. For me, these type of dreams pale in comparison to the dreams that you do not control. The unconscious mind is way more creative. Now whenever I have lucid dreams I struggle to wake up, and I feel somewhat paralyzed. I do have lucid dreams more often when I have been smoking, but to me they are a nuisance. If you want amazing dreams, then smoke a lot for a couple of weeks, and then stop. If you want lucid dreams smoke weed and take long naps, it will put you in the half-wake state you need to be in.

Well, it doesn't really make a difference to me (as Aquanina said). I mean, as long as I go to sleep sober, and not high, I don't notice a complete difference. But as you said, it does cloud your memory a bit, so it could be impairing in recall sense.

      Hope that answered your question!
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.
