Yes, you can feel things perfectly in dreams.

Sometimes even better than in real life.

It's just like real life. But you can do the impossible.

*nod* yah pretty much sensation is the same; touch, hear, taste (sometimes its different) etc...

my favorite is to find a cliff \ building \ other high place to jump off of. The rising feeling in my stomach, the wind roaring past my ears... it's all so perfect....

*edit* btw welcome to the forums Lord Kuro!!

As the others have said, dreams are usually just as real - if not more real - than real life.

I'm not sure... I've never experienced it first hand. But I've read accounts of other people's dreams (usually good WILDs) where they said it felt almost "more real than real life." As I've never personally experienced the feeling, I can't explain it very well.

Hmmm, I've had one where I understand where people are coming from by "more real." I'm just taking a wild guess at this; it isn't based on any science! Imagine, if you will, a world. How does it look? Now think about this, what we see is obviously controlled by how we see it. For example, just because you can't see behind you does not mean there is nothing there at the moment. Likewise, just because you aren't experiencing something doesn't mean it isn't happening. Also, those imperfections in our vision that may occur aren't physically there. Common sense says that nobody else sees your floaters. Colors appear to change by the strength of lighting (notice how hard it is to tell colors in low light). Feeling something can differentiate on various parts of the body based on their sensitivity. However, when you are dreaming you could observe the world purely (however still limited by what the brain knows of course) without these restraints. For example, theoretically you could see all around you. Your vision can be as perfect as you can imagine. Those annoying and floaters and flickers don't have to exist. You can see bright colors in the dark or in the light. You can feel as well on your back as you do on the bottoms of your feet.

Basically you can go against human limitations in real life and sculpt the world the way you think it really is. We always consciously think of something being real as what we see or touch... but what if nobody were to see it? Would it be the same? What colors would the things be? What would light be? Is the way a dog sees the world any less "real" than the way we see it? You could go on forever this way. By allowing your mind, and only your mind to decide what truly is real, if you looked at it closely, you could decide that this experience was "more real than real life."

Feel free to prove me wrong, as I said this is all a random on the spot guess. I feel embarrassed posting it since it might make no logical sense. Oh yeah, and welcome! I forgot about that!

I love doing that too! But sometimes the rising feeling in my stomach wakes me up, lol.

And sometimes when I've fallen from somewhere (even in the falling dreams I've had in the past), I wake up and it feels as if I have just fallen back down into my bed.

Anyway, yeah, you can do pretty much anything you like. Sometimes I get hungry in my lucid dreaming and I eat lot and lots of chocolate. Tastes heaps better than normal 'reality' chocolate any day.

That can be good practice, just remember that her reactions in the dream will be completely what you expect them to be.
