      Hiya

      Well. Hiya.

Let me start out telling you mah background then get around to the questions..

I've been lucid dreaming awhile ago off and on and can't control when I do it. Often times when i'm lucid its a scary dream that I can't get out of, or a dream that is fun and I wan't to stay in but never can. Also, i'm a deep sleeper and sleep walk often.

      My questions are...

Has anyone here fell to the ground in there dream? They say that if you hit the ground in your dream you die...Well has anyone tried it? Has anyone attempted dream sucide where you jump off a cliff and kill yourself (lol)

As I said I'm a deep sleeper and sleep walk often, this kinda concerns me because I don't want to be lucid and fighting a villan and accidently stabbing a family member or something...

      Thanks.

      to DV!

I've died in a dream before, but not on purpose. Still fun though.

Sleepwalking can be quite a problem. It should get better with age. How old are you? In any case, I don't think your chances of sleepwalking increase in LDs or anything. So if you know that you're dreaming, make a conscious decision to not do anything violent.

      Thanks for the reply

      I'm 14.

I'm wondering about the sucide thing because a dream i had last night (Not going into specifics) part of my body fell spikes and I wanted the pain to end so I pushed down harder onto the spikes and put more of my body on them...

      Welcome to Dream Views, Taurine.

Well, it's safe to say that you don't have to worry about dying in waking life, if you die in a dream. Many of us (including myself) have died in numerous dreams, both by committing suicide and being killed by other dream characters. Sometimes you come back as a 'ghost,' sometimes you just kind of 'respawn' and continue dreaming, and sometimes you wake up. There's been no evidence (neither scientific nor anecdotal) that you die in waking life, after dying in a dream.

Enjoy your stay, and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask around.

Yeah, hopefully the sleepwalking will get better with age. I think my worse cases were around that time... and these days I basically never do it. In any case, I don't think you have to worry too much about stabbing anyone. Just tell your parents to lock their door.

What precisely were you wondering about the suicide in dreams thing? EDIT: What Oneironaut said.

Close your bedroom door if you are afraid that you'll sleepwalk.

Closing the door won't help...i've been known to walk down stairs and open up the front door. My Dad tells me that sometimes my eyes are wide open and im crawling on the floor...he asks me what i'm doing and aparently im "looking for a key".

EDIT: Also, i'm not to bad with the dream recall thing, I usally remember if this site is on my mind...Should I just jump right into attempting to get lucid?

If you can remember a couple dreams per night, you can start trying to get lucid. You could try before you remember that many, but then if you had a lucid dream, you'd likely forget it before you woke up. And that's no fun.
