Occasionally I will wake up in the middle of the night. Usually my dreams are pleasant, so if I will try to remember what I was dreaming about. If I can remember, I fall asleep by kind of telling myself in my mind about what should happen next. It's kind of strange, but I'm never quite sure if I'm awake or dreaming after this stage. Is this a way to start lucid dreaming? By telling myself a story as I fall asleep should my dream continue this story? |

It wouldn't quite be a lucid dream, because you wouldn't be aware that you are dreaming while the dream is going on. The dream would start going in some direction, then be beyond your control. |
