Thread: Will lazy eye affect lucid dreaming?

I also wear glasses, but see fine in dreams. Some people use that as a reality check--if they can see well without glasses, they must be dreaming. Or, they check to see if their glasses are on (most people can see them out of the corner of their eyes if they pay attention) and if they aren't on, they must be dreaming.

Yep I wear glasses and it's interesting that everyone who has glasses doesn't notice them in lds, I guess it's because you don't actually see and think about you're glasses alot. I don't ever remember seeing my glasses in a dream and in my lds my vision is super sharp.

Lemm1w1nkz, if you see fine in normal dreams then lds should be no different. Lazy eye shouldn't be a problem at all.

Thank you all very much for your input. It makes me feel a lot better to know I can lucid dream. I was very worried about that, but it does make sense. I have done a lot of things in dreams that I would normally need my glasses for.

My son is a prolific LDer, he has a stigmatic squint which he wears glasses for. He can switch his sight between eyes, which is pretty cool, but he's never had any problems.

Hopefully you'll find that out for yourself soon enough.

I have a lazy eye myself and can lucid dream just fine.

I also am long-sighted, but that doesn't really affect anything related to lucid dreaming!

By the way, in dreams/HI you don't see with your eyes. The brain is probably using the same parts that process images, but it's not being detected by the eye and so you should see it fine.

In fact, if you're blind, providing you had sight at some point, you would be able to see fine in dreams.
