Will lazy eye affect lucid dreaming?

I have yet to become lucid, but one of my worries concerns my lazy eye. At birth my brain for whatever reason decided to ignore my left eye. It is a perfectly normal eye that is parallel to my right eye, functions, and looks like a normal eye but my brain will not use it. The only vision I have out of my left eye is peripheral (everything that I see out of that eye is of the same quality as if your were looking at something out of the corner of your eye)

Besides that my vision is good, my field of vision is good enough where I can have a drivers license, play sports, or what ever. It does not affect my life at all. I am just afraid that being half blind will make it harder to become lucid. Will it be harder to spot HI, or if I do become lucid will the resolution of my minds eye be half of what it is?

I am concerned because it is my brain not accepting the input, the eye works perfectly fine.

I really don't think your eye will have a negative effect on LDing.

In real life I wear contacts/glasses but my vision is perfect (if not better) when I LD. I don't ever recall even wearing glasses while lucid.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Lucid Dreaming is all in the head, and HI and such you're to see behind closed eye lids anyway! You shouldn't have any problems with LDing because of a lazy eye.

I agree with them, it shouldn't affect your dream vision.

      to DreamViews, Lemm.

I also wear glasses, but see fine in dreams. Some people use that as a reality check--if they can see well without glasses, they must be dreaming. Or, they check to see if their glasses are on (most people can see them out of the corner of their eyes if they pay attention) and if they aren't on, they must be dreaming.

Good luck with your dreaming! Let us know how it goes.

Same. I wear glasses, but I see fine in dreams. Don't worry about it!
