I don't use to do WBTB for that long. Perhaps about 10 mins. |

WASSUP ya'll. I am really jazzed about starting up this whole LD thing, and I've decided that a WBTB combined with some MILD going back to bed should be good. But I can't stay up for an entire hour! I have school to go to! Is it really going to make a big difference if I stay up for maybe 10/15 minutes, as long as I'm fully awake? Or am I going to "get what I put in" and just disappoint myself? |

I would start with a short WBTB, and move from there into longer ones if you need to. Better that you fall asleep too fast than not be able to fall asleep at all. Theres nothing more frustrating than lying in bed unable to fall back asleep. Just be ready to adjust the time as necessary. Don't get stuck in a routine that does not work. |

If you're really worried about losing sleep due to staying up too long trying to WILD, only attempt WILDs on those mornings that you can sleep in (that's what I do). |
