I've heard of this happen several times before, and I have had WILDs suddenly stop before, too. I think that what might have happened is that you got too excited. It's much harder to enter a WILD if your mind is not relaxed. |

So last night, I decided to commit to a WILD, seeing as I was in the perfect atmosphere to try one at the time. So after about an hour of laying in my bed, I feel the intense vibrations that one can receive before entering a dream, and I began to see intense HP (if thats the correct way to use the term). Then I felt my eyes moving rapidly and started to anticipate my first lucid since my accidental first one, but my eyes just snapped open. As quickly as I opened them I closed them, but I felt that after that it was a lost cause, and my body started to feel less heavy and I sat up, bummed. |

I might be exaggerating on the "intensity" levels of the experience, I think it was partly shock due to the fact I was in my bed for over an hour and a half before it started to happen. |

Did you go straight to bed and try WILD or use WBTB? |

WILDs are notorious for your eyes opening. They just seem to do that when you enter REM. You could wear a mask to counter that, you don't want to hold them closed because then your body is receiving signals and won't go to sleep. |
