Hey there Luna, welcome to Dream Views, this community is very nice and welcoming and we're glad you decided to come join. Here's something useful for checking your spelling, Google Toolbar, it has an automatic spell check, I use it when I'm posting stuff on here. You can go for that if you want, or just Google itself corrects your spelling. Just type in a word and it'll put it never red text.

Anyway, on with your question. Yes, they're a lot of abbreviations for Lucid Dreaming, the most common one is "LD", which is for Lucid Dreaming, obviously. But there's a lot more than that, like DILD, and MILD, WBTB, and even WILD. These are named as follows:

DILD stands for Dream Induced Lucid Dream, it is used for when people naturally have a Lucid Dream by a random night. This consists of Dream Journaling, Reality Checking, and recognizing Dream Signs. There's also the odd bonus of eating chocolate, which is the part I personally enjoy. You can find out more about DILD here - Click

MILD stands for Mnemonically Induced Lucid Dreams, although I think it does anyway. But that doesn't matter, I'll explain it anyway. MILD is all about telling your mind, your subconscious to do things. Commanding is a great term to use here. It's all about believing and all that kind of funky stuff. You can out more, here - Click

Next, let me tell you about WBTB. This stands for Wake Back to Bed, it is mostly used before doing WILD (which I will speak of in the paragraph of next). It consists of sleeping for five hours after you go to bed at night. It starts you off by boosting you, making it so you're hitting your Rapid Eye Movement (REM, heh), it's basically like Lucid Dreaming mode or whatever you want to call the "It helps" event. Find out more, here - Click

WILD, this is possibly one of the hardest and easiest at the same time methods I've seen. It stands for Wake Initiated Lucid Dream, this is what mostly follows WBTB. To put it in basic terms, this is going from awake, straight into dreaming. Sound silly? Well, try it out if you want. Experimentation is key here, remember that. Find out more, here - Click

You're probably wondering where I'm getting these links from. They are from the tutorial section of course! Where all the information is found, it is like the Bible of the website. Click here to fly there - Click

Again, welcome to the community, we're all very nice. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. And our godlike selves will answer them for you.

I have always wondered if people that Lucid Dream without them knowing what it is, ever make a big deal about it? Or do most just shrug it off, and think it must be normal.
