      WILD Help

Ive had 2 Wilds, both very brief, lasting about 20 seconds each...

Everytime I attempt a WILD and start to get into it, my eyes twitch a lot, then i open my eyes and RC. It sucks.

these are the steps i go through.

      Lay down, relax.
start counting, 1 I'm dreaming, 2 Im dreaming.
usualy i get into the hudreds before I notice anything.
I see streaks of light flashing.
I see eyes in a diagonal pattern (happens every time)
a face starts to form (happens every time)
I start to see a hazy figure of someone.

So during this time, my eyes start to "twitch"

usualy my body is about 60% numb, my legs and arms are numb, but my chest is not, neither is my face, Ive only experience the "vibrations" once, and it scared me but now I am ready for it.

So now I start to see more then just the face, but it disapears and reapears. I'ts weird, I start to see objects form, line after line as if someones drawing it.

By this point, my eyes are twitching so much that they just open, and everytime I get disappointed when i RC.

So how close am I? is this a genetic problem with my eyes or is there a way to work around this. I'm going to try to wild now, and post again when im done.

      Practice, practice, practice?
Maybe one day you'll open your twitching eyes to a dream.
Or, you could just train yourself to keep your eyes closed.
It'd be cool if you kept this thread updated with the progress of your predicament.

Good idea on the progress update, I am going to go through with it.

I just tried, and the same thing happened. I got the vibrations for the second time ever, first time in about 2 months. I felt a rush throughout my entire body, like I was nervous or excited or something, a mix of the two. My eyes twitched a lot and i started hearing the beginning of a Beatles song. The only way to describe what happened next is to say that it was like someone was dropping black blotches of paint onto an off black canvas and the black was making everything darker, then two more started. My eyes were twitching pretty hard at this point and I opened my eyes and RC'd. I got pissed off and wrote this haha.

      man.. your lucky though.
I can't even get that far.
I just lay there all relaxed and let my mind wander for a little,
and my arms go numb -- i can't tell if thats just from lying still or if it is actually SP. which is it?

Here's how it is for me, this is when I know I can open my eyes.

I lay down and get relaxed. usually works best as a WBTB, cause its really quick and can take less than a minute.

Anywho, you feel the tingling and your body goes numb. Then waves rush over me and my eyes are twitching a little, and my muscles twitch a little.

When I make it past that I get intense vibrations then a VERY loud buzzing or sound in my ears. It's almost like in a scary movie, when you hear a really loud sound, like in Constantine during the bathtub scene where the waterdrop is falling in slow motion. its a sound like that, and when it stops i feel weightless.

I just keep my eyes close for a minute or so after that and i usually wake up inside a dream, do a reality check, then spend a few minutes it the dream before I wake up again.

      Hey a1112,
I have been WILDing/trying to at least, for about a month now and get very similar symptoms to you.

I lay down, relax, and meditate/focus on pressure points - I find focusing on pressure points a great way to calm myself.
      Then I get numb.
Then I start getting some brief HI images.
Then I get a weird light that looks like I'm moving really fast over train tracks and behind the wooden slats is white light which shines through my dark field of view.
Then I either get really tingly and slight vibrations OR my eyes twitch like you discribed. It starts out minor twitches but gets to the point that they are screwing themselves up of their own accord and my eyes start to water.
Never really get beyond this point, but all these first steps are easy for me, I can do it all in 10-30 minutes of laying down.

I was told that battling through the eye twitching is probably the best way to go but it gets to the point where it almost hurts and is really annoying. I'm quite sure they are my real eyes doing it too because under them is wet when I wake up.

I'll keep an eye on this thread too

      Cheers

none other, I just lay down and the same thing happends again and again. I guess my eyes are moving too fast and my mind is ahead of my body, thats all I can think of because I doubt I am in SP when it starts happening. I'll try again tonight. I get just as far on a WILD if its 4 am after 5 hours of sleep, or after a day of work.

I got fairly stoned 2 nights in a row and tried to WILD.

      2 nights ago.
I found it much easier to relax while doing it. It speeds up the process, I was fealing vibrations after 15 minutes, then all of a sudden I was in the dream, suprisingly it started off as a RC. My hands were huge and I put my finger right through it. I though "I'm dreaming!" I woke up, RC'd, and then just went to bed.

I tried twice yesterday. First time I started at 5:30 pm and ended up falling asleep until 9:30.

I tried again before I went to bed, I got the vibrations fairly quickly (5-10 mins) and was more comfortable with it.

im about to try again, since i got a good sleep last night. Ive been up for about 20 minutes and I will have a bit of caffeine and see how this goes.

I've heard people say their eyes twitch during WILDs. If opening your eyes wakes you up, then don't open your eyes. When you get to the point of sleep paralysis and intense hypnagogia, you are almost in a dream. That transition phase can be tricky, so you need to find something that works for you. You need to get your consciousness out of your body in bed, and into a dream body.

What works for me is imagining movement and tactile feelings. I will visualize myself in my living room, running my hands against the rough wall. Or I will picture myself in my garden, touching every plant and piece of sculpture. Sometimes I will imagine the feeling of running, falling, or flying. Whatever comes easiest.

Another trick, is to try and roll out of your body. As you are lying in bed, you can imagine the feeling of rocking back and forth. Don't actually move your body. Just imagine the feeling of rocking, then rolling to the side. This works for a lot of people. If it works, you will roll right out of your body, and fall off the bed into a dream. Pretty cool

I have also heard of a trick where you wait for the hypnagogia to get intense. Wait for vibrations, images, eye twitches, loud sounds. ect. Then, relax and take one deep breath. Have you read through Clairity's WILD tutorial? Especially this part:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...415#post746415

Remember, the dream is going to happen all in your mind, while your eyes are closed in bed. You don't need to open your eyes to see. Just visualize.
