Hi! I was so busy with looking around all topics on Dream Views that I almost forgot to introduce myself here!

Iam Jeff, a natural lucid dreamer now for 20 years.
Iam from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and a mod at Ld4all.

I did much lucid dream experiments on all levels, with my eeg machine for the first ten years.
With all sorts of chemical substances, plants, herbs, in relation to lucid dreams.

Even smell i researched and its role in lucid dreaming.
When i started with lucid dreaming i also did martial art and meditation.
Soon i started with selfhypnosis and using that in my lds for control.
With my own trance meditation i succeed to stay conscious and lucid through all sleep levels.
Also in deep sleep (the delta domain)
and beyond that. The near death experience.
Witch is again tot different then all others.
I had an EEG machine 4 ten years to study my lds and sleep.
Consciousness is a true passion of mine.

There are not many ppl that use self hypnosis to control there lucid dreams with.

This forum really looks good, has a good clear overview and interesting topics.
The ppl i have met here so far where all really nice.
Like truthbearer, Seeker, nightowl,ldguy, adidas, paperdoll EP, Ev, placebo, Technoboy and others.

Glad to have ya here.. you are obviously quite wise and experienced in this area!

Oh, and for the poll.. I take them sometimes, just to experiment, but I usually find that I have more success without them.

Well i take vitamins for health

Sometimes i take supplements for longer rem sleep or more lds but then it are special substances.
When summer is over iam going to an interesting experiment that O'nus would like to hear of i think.
Its about blocking the enzyme Mao I that breaks down important neurotransmitters (that active when we are awake) while you are in rem sleep. Should give way more lds.

Are you talking about monoamine oxidase inhibitors? (MAOIs) Could you explain a little more what their relationship is with LDs?

Wow, the experiments our fellow Dutch friend are doing seem really interesting. Does anyone of you know wether there is any serious scientific research being done conserning LDing, similar to the ones LucidApple were talking about; chemical substances and other methods..?

Well, I had my first LD yesterday, found this forum, and read about taking vitamins yesterday as well, and lo and behold, I had a bottle of B6 with me that I take ever so often. Last night I took one with dinner. Didn't LD though, I think I can only after certain amounts of sleep.

Scwigglie i will block the enzyme by using syrian rue seeds, those contain a good Mao(A) inhibitor.
I pulverize the seeds, add lemon juice and water and boil it for say 15 min, 5 min is enough, but i thicken it so i wont have to drink much.
I takes an hour for it to work, and then stays working for 5 hours.
So i use it at a wbtb.

Ask Ev, it tastes like a mix from throw up and Dino shit.
Its awfull lol. (gents dont kiss a girl after that or you willl never see her again but in your dreams).

LucidAnna when we dream, rem sleep, an enzyme called Mao(A) is getting active. Indeed Mono amino oxidase.
That enyzme breaks down 2 neurotransmittors in rem sleep that are active while we are awake.
My thought is, why does the brain do that?
Could it have a relation with normally not being lucid in rem sleep?
Well i tested really a lot of substances, plants, herbs and vitamins etc to see if it would make me lucid.
And the only thing that jumped out of all tests sky high was ecstacy.
I tested now for 9 times and every time i test i have 6 lds that night.
I take just before sleeping 15% to 25% of a tab then fall a sleep and got every time 6lds a night...so lucid all though the night.
Well xtc levels up serotonin and also dopamin and norepinephrine.
Well those 3 are aslo active while you are awake!
my claim is that serotonin and norepinphrine are the one responsible for the 6 lds.

I tested leveling up dopamine in my sleep but that gave no results.

So now i wanne test with a mao(A) blocker to c if my theory stands.
If so we got a nice lucid potion.
Not to take to often or your brain surely will addept.

Btw long ago i tested phenylalanine and i posted that on Laberge his forum and surprisingly he mailed me about it.
He found it quite interesting.
I think when i start end sept with my tests i will post the results at his forum, here at Dream Views and at Ld4all.
Maybe i can test it with O'nus who knows, or Laberge.

Im sure everyone here now knows you alot better, and appreciates you alot more, as the experience at LD4all was awsome.
