      Close, I hope?

I've been attempting to have lucid dreams for the past couple of weeks. Last night I think I got close. I dreamt that I had a lucid dream...in my dream, I was attempting to achieve lucidity. Kind of confusing to explain. Any suggestions?

WELCOME! You've come to the right place to achive lucidity.

If you haven't already I suggest checking out the "Tutorials" section. It has pretty much all the information you need to get lucid.

I also recomend keeping some kind of dream journal to help you have the best possible dream recall. There is a section where you can start one online here, or you can always keep one in a notebook at home, like I do.

My wife had trouble too. It comes easier for me.
After I told her this she had 2.

After waking from a dream don't move. Stay frozen. Picture yourself back in the dream place feeling and seeing all the stuff that is there. Then picture yourself spinning there. Hopefully you'll spin right in.

This method worked real well for me when I started out.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Now that that matter is out of the way, I'd say you were very close! Dreaming about lucidity is a great sign that your first true lucid is right around the corner. Your mind is obviously saturated with thoughts of lucid dreaming. Keep up the reality checks!

Thank you all for the replies. I've been keeping a dream journal for the past week or so, and it's helped me remember my dreams better. Runfla, I'll try that out, thank you.
