      Any tips on how I can hide it?

      I'd put it in my pillowcase, transfer them to the computer, and burn the remains.

      Seriously? Write them down on Post-Its and just put them on the computer, and rip them up.

      Yeah, and there's the private online Dream Journal on this site. You wouldn't even have to store anything on your computer.

      I'm trying to remember where I used to hide my girlie magazines back in high school Maybe I'm dating myself. Nobody has girlie magazines now that you can get all the internet porn you want on your cell phone.

      Under the mattress is the classic. If that is too obvious, you can try somewhere in the bathroom. Lots of people wake up and go to the bathroom to write their dreams down without disturbing their sleeping partner.

      I really don't have any smart ideas. Beside the usual computer/internet solution and the under mattress/pillow one.

      Well... take this seriously or not. You could learn to write in code, I have this cool book which talks all about that. Maby even learn some other forms of writing like several versions of ancient nordic runes or the cyrillic alphabet in different combinations. Design your own. Since you know english, doing that shouldn't be too hard. You might see this as pointless and too much work, but I think I might get into this sometime soon. Sounds like fun to me. I doubt that people would bother with decyphering it. Unless they go really nosy and send it to CIA or something.

      If you are feeling artistical then maby you could just draw some sketches and graphs with added short descriptions.

      Whatever you do, Good luck!

      You could also record it on an audio recorder or cell phone. Then it is easy to transfer to your computer, a flash drive, or erase completely.

      I've always liked the old hollowed out book stash. Find a nice thick boring book that nobody would ever read, and cut out a hole in the pages.

      Cusp, that's very Scooby Doo. I like it.

      Plus, your mother will think you're such a scholar keeping Roots or Moby Dick next to your bed every night.

      well...an excellent place i find to hide papers is if your house is heated with wood or you have a furnace in the basement.the upstairs rooms should have a vent/register in the floor.if your room has carpet remove the register and hide the paper between the carpet and floor boards.thats where i hide all my stuff and i have two in my room so if one gets found out half the stuff is by the other one lol.it has never been found to my knowledge... also i write in rune ...call me paranoid if you want...

      Just start an invisible journal. Get a marker that you can only see in black light and right on a paper that blends well with the markers slight color so it will be invisible. Then buy a little 1 or 2 foot black light and only plug it in when your writing/reading in the journal.

      Why should you be afraid of your parents reading your dreams?

      We all know that dreams are strange. What if you "have to" write down some big orgy you had with animals. Just for example. It would be a bit disturbing to read such things from your sons journal, don't you think?

      I just put a "disclaimer" on the first page of mine basically saying "If you're reading this, 1. you shouldn't be and 2. bear in mind that it is a dream journal not a diary of real events".

      Its hard to write everything you want if you are worried about someone else reading it. You can always hollow out a book with an exacto knife

      Or tape it under a dresser drawer or something, or just carry it with you.

      I'll never miss the days of snoopy parents!! Good luck!

      That is such a great idea. I was suggesting the heat vent, but between the carpet and floor boards is a great idea.

      I totally understand why you wouldn't want your parents to find your dream journal. Once my mom found a page or two of mine. It was kind of weird. I was visiting her (I'm an adult and have my own house), but a couple pages of dream notes ended up under the bed. She called me a day or two after I left all upset. The dreams were something about bears eating Goldy Locks, and sex. It was hard trying to explain that it was dream notes and yes, crazy crap like that is what has lead to LDs improving my life. Talk about awkward!

      lol eek i could just imagine if my parents found my dream journal...they would pry send me to a shrink...
      yeah i tried to hide them in way too obvious places to find, but i have little cousins that go through everything and i especially don't want them reading that stuff! i racked my brain for an hour or so and wondered if the carpet was attached to the floor boards. lucky it wasn't!

      I use a thumb drive/ flash drive, and I keep that on my keychain ALWAYS and take it with me wherever I go. this is by far the most convienent and if they ask why you have it, say school if you are in school or its just your stuff that you research online, they will never know lol

      Your Doing It Wrong

      Take the journal.
      Add one strip of tape to long for the journal.
      like this:
      = equals tape
      [++++++++++++++]
      [++++++++++++++]
      ======================
      [++++++++++++++]
      [++++++++++++++]

      No goto your closet now on top there is a railing now place it there on the inside of the closet. Now push the tape against the wall and it will stay and your parents won't find it!

      You can also hide cigarettes this way, not that I smoke.
