      Question New Here Help Needed

I am new here an have a few questions (just like everyone else ) , but first i would like to say some thins with how i have had dreams before as it might help you answer some of my questions.

I rarely remember any of my dream ever. But i have had lucid dreams multiple times before, with or without control. I am epically good at becoming lucid in nightmares but i always force myself awake. So with that said here are my questions.

      1. What are the best times to wake up at night if i were to go to bed at midnight and wake up at eight? I tried some times last night but i did not even have a slight idea of what i dreamed of.

      2. Ounce you acquire a better dream recall do you have to keep waking up in the middle of the night to write down your dreams or do you just remember them better when you wake up?

If you could give me some answeres it would be a great help.

Try setting an alarm clock to go off for about 7am.

At first it will completely wake you up but after a while your body will get used to it and you'll be able to turn it off without even properly waking up, from your half awakened state you should have an easier time of being able to remember dreams when you get up for your "real" alarm at 8am.

I also find being woken up ahead of time makes waking up/getting out of bed easier

      1. You don't have to wake up in the middle of the night! Waking up 90 minutes before you usually do is sufficient. Because we naturally wake up after dreams, and dreams occur in 90 minute intervals, waking up 90 minutes early should land you right after a dream. When you go back to sleep, reaffirm your desire to remember dreams (highly effective since little time will pass). Keep trying!

      2. Eventually, you'll get to the point where you will remember dreams in an uninterrupted sleep, however it will always be more effective to wake up an hour or so earlier than normal, because you will refresh your intent to recall (and, later, become lucid in) your dreams. Just remember, you don't have to get up too early! Most techniques improve with a wake-back-to-bed segment. I also highly recommend it.
