      Question Thoughts on this?

This may or not be directly linked to lucid dreaming, but you all seem like nice people so I'll ask for an opinion anyway.

Sometimes when I'm laying in bed with my eyes closed the space between my eyes (and up a bit) with start tingling uncontrollably (this actually happens when im awake sometimes too) from there on in it just gets wierd because I feel semi-paralysed (as if i could move if i really wanted to) and a see a bright white light, even though my eyes (and curtains) are closed and sometimes there's a rushing noise like wind flying past my ears.. and all the time the space between my eyebrows is tingling really strongly.

I should point out that when this happens I'm awake.. I once told a female friend about this and she thought that I'd had a "religious moment" even though I'm firmly parked in the agnostic/atheist park.

It should also be noted the tingling can happen while I'm awake at apparently completely random times (all my life too)

Anybody heard of this happening before?

(Apparently the place where the tingling happens is called the pineal eye)

Pineal-eye is a term made up by mystics. They added a scientific word to mask the Third Eye concept. I say that you've heard of this phenomenon before.

The tingling between your eyebrows could be caused by a mild form of dermatitis.

The sights and sounds are most likely hypnogogia, experienced by everyone, consciously experienced by few (it happens all the time, but we are too drowsy to notice it).

Yeah, I once looked it up out of curiosity but never found anything actually interesting or valid I just threw the words out at the end because i randomly remembered it then and couldnt be bothered to edit my post.

The main other time where I've had the tingling feeling is when i concentrate on the area for a while.

Isn't dermatitis just an inflammation of the skin?

Yes, it is. It can be itchy, burny, or tingly.

Doubt I've had it my whole life in a particular area though *confusion*
Ah well I'll give this post another few hours for any other interesting comments and delete if I can.
