Question one:
I'm pretty much always cognizant in my dreams: I can think/talk normally; my values are the same; I'm pretty much the same person in my dreams as in real life.
If there's something in my dream (whatever that may be) I simply change the object or scenario. Usually I end up changing my dream simply because it's boring (however, if the dreams interesting, I simply take a back seat and roll with it). Even though I maintain near absolute control over my regular dreams, it's more like my consciousness is presiding over(couldn't think of a better way to describe that) my dream. My person within the dream is unaware of the fact that it's a dream and my true(waking) consciousness is observing.
Question: Does this count as a lucid dream?
Rarely I'll have a dream where I have absolutely no control. Those dreams are frequently very odd, surreal, or unsettling (they're also always very vivid).
Question #2:
Does anyone else find that if they change too much within the dream, they wake up(or the dream loses coherency)?
Edit:
Btw, hello everyone
I joined the forums because of a strange dream I had a month or so ago.
