      Hya

      Hey there,
I'm 16 years old, I'm from Canada and I'm french. I found this sites when I was hanging on youtube look at some random videos about Brain sync, I know, this is weird. So I found this site by pure luck, my friend already told me about LD cause he actually had ones and when I found this site I became really interested.

It will makes about a week I'm looking around this site trying some stuff and actually I think I did a LD but I can't remember it. I was in my bed doing some simple mind exercises like A to Z, counting my breath and then I got bored and decided to watch the clock and it was 1:30 AM (I went bed at 10:00 pm this night) I was like what the hell. In my mind maybe 20 mins passed. So that is why I think I LD but can't remember since my Dream Recall is horrible.

I know I need to improve my dream recall but I don't want to have a note pad near my bed and wake up at 3:00 AM to write in it, my parents would think I'm crazy. I go on my comp every morning so I think I could write my DJ on it but well, any other suggestion?

Wow I must be boring :O and barely readable. I wish to have good time in this community and I WANT TO LD

Thanks ^^. I'm trying hard. But I have some problems, How am I suposed to do reality Checks if I don't control my dream. I mean when I dream things happen and I can do nothing at all. And I'd like to know what kind of LD is the best for a beginner like me, DILD seem pretty simple but I can't figure out how I could do RC since I don't control my dreams.

      Salut

Ahah, that is fun to see that I'm not the only one talking french out there Your french is actually pretty good since you can say other thing than "Salut mon nom est Jean-Paul", and I can understand what you say .

I think I LDed last night. I was in a Taxi cab and suddendly I realize that I was dreaming, I tried to change the taxi cab into a Lamborgini and it actually worked, but it didn't last long, about 40 secondes, and I waked up. That was pretty strange. I think it was a WILD since I was actually already dreaming and I notice that I was dreaming.

Things are going way faster than I thought :O

I was always taught to introduce oneself with "Je m'appelle Jean-Paul," perhaps a different from French french and Canadian French?

Any no, you definitely aren't the only french speaking person at DV, there are actually quiet a few of us. Mostly Canadian, but also some from France and Africa.

Yay for having a lucid dream. Actually it's a DILD when you realize that you are dreaming while in the dream. A WILD is where you go from being awake directly into a dream.

I don't really get this line XD. There is a difference between French French and Canadian French but only the sounding we use the sames word but we, Canadian French, our french is full of anglicism and is pretty much more released.

I have a question about RC. Does RC needs to be done IRL to increase my DILD chance I don't really get it ._. And I found that the Enthousiasm of having a LD (Like when you realize that you're having a LD) can makes you Wake up. Is it true?

Yea, when you do a reality check, it should be something that you physically perform in RL, during waking life. But there is also a critical mental component- you should try to stop, and really explain to yourself why it is that you aren't dreaming. Does everything seem logical? Are there any gaps in your memory? Etc. This helps you to just get in the habit of recognizing what is going on, so that you will realize you are in a dream. It gives you a 'foolproof' (no RC is actually foolproof, make sure to do about 3 every time) way to prove to yourself that you are dreaming, and also just the "habit" of it may carry into a dream- for example, if you RC by looking at the time, and you see a digital clock, you may say to yourself, "Hmm, I should RC just because I'm looking at that." You look away, you look back, the numbers have changed, and BAM! you're lucid

Yes, sometimes you can wake up from the excitement. Unless you're me, you usually get over it after a few lucids. Just remember that when you do become lucid, you should try to stay calm, look around, just relax and try to "stabilize" the dream and make it as real as possible before you try to do crazy fun things
