      Dream Recall

Now, when trying to recall as much of each dream as I possibly can, do I have to set an alarm, or can I just jot down whatever I can remember after each dream? I can usually remember each dream, but only, like, if I were to pause it right before the dream ended, the "freeze-frame," that's all that I can remember, usually. Just a thought, when I'm woken up by some other thing, i can remember certain fragments, but not much more, and only in the morning. Actually, that's a lie, because the only time that that happens is in the morning. Thanks!

Nah you don't have to, but that helps to get better results (for some)

It would probably be best to write down all the important things that happened, like what you saw, who you talked too, time of day, etc...

Honestly, just write down anything you remember. The more you do it, the more you will subsequently recall.

      Smile Last Night...

Okay, so last night was very progressive, even though I didn't realize it until about 11 today...
Ok, first of all, I only remembered two dreams, compared to the night before's four, but they were each about 30 seconds long, instead of the usual "freeze-frame." In the first one, I had these boxes in my back yard, and I had to get them inside the house, and I don't know if it was because a tornado was coming, (very unusual in NY) or if the tornado was a coincidence. BTW I wasn't lucid. Ok, so my friend was also there, and she was struggling to carry her box. I was going to pick mine up, and I thought something like, "it's going to be light," and it was!
Call me crazy, but I'd say that's progress!
      Thoughts? Thanks!

Sounds like progress Lets hope you remember even longer periods of your dreams tonight.

(Also, I merged your threads to keep the continuity.)

Quick question, anyone that uses Brain Bullet, what settings do you us it on? I messed it up and can't find a default button... Right now it's on 5ms every 2sec. Thanks!

You don't need to read the 1st paragraph, it's just me venting.

UGH! I am really mad!! My friend, he laughed at me for thinking I could lucid dream when I told him about it last week, and continued to laugh up until yesterday. I don't eed to go into details, but last night he had a lucid dream!!

Okay, so, I now also have some questions. When I try to DEILD, what should I concentrate on when I'm awake? Should I be conscious of my breathing? Am I over-thinking this?
Also, and I don't think this question has been answered, how long should I lie there when attempting a DEILD? Does it take as long as it normally would to fall asleep, or just a few seconds to go into SP?
Also, I constantly now use brain bullet (for free from a torrent here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36281 however, it takes like an hour to download) and my question is, when I use it, should I look at the text? I'm probably over-thinking again, but whatever. Thanks!

DEILD is based on falling back to sleep quickly. So quickly, you don't even really wake up fully. The idea is, as soon as you realize you have woken up, you immediatly re-enter the dream. Don't move, don't even open your eyes.

So, in other words, if I'm getting all excited and shots of adrenaline every 20 seconds, I've failed. Ok, I'm going to try FILD 2nite. Thanks!
