      Talking Autosuggestion... works wonders!

I am only two days into my attempts at lucid dreaming and already have some success. The first day I tried to recall my dream from the previous night, epic fail. Then last night I tried the autosuggestion technique and it only bloody worked!

I was saying: "I will vividly remember my dreams when I wake up" over and over until I suppose I nodded off. At first when I woke up I couldn't remember a thing, but then all of a sudden it came running back to me. Very strange dream indeed, I have a feeling it was twos seperate dreams but I'm not too sure.

It started with me, my cousin and my aunt in a large cafe in a shopping centre, and for some reason about 20 of my friends from school were in the next room talking around tables. The next thing I remember happening was running everyone running away (I have a strong feeling this was a zombie sort of dream) from the shopping centre in the streets, then I saw a car and just dived in it and there was a man in there. He drove off to his apartment block and we quickly went in and locked the door. So then in the foyer of the apartment block was me, the guy from the car, I think my friend was there, and oddly enough Jacqui and Mercedes from Hollyoaks (UK soap). Next thing I remember was being in a sort of large airing cupboard with a few other people. I was desperately trying to wrap myself in towels so that no zombies would notice me and everyone else in the cupboard was doing the same. I think it was because we could here running footsteps coming from upstairs coming for us.

Anyway, the next thing I remember was being back outside the cupboard with everyone, then Jacqui and Mercedes decided to end there lives so they went outside to the zombies and I remember being really scared at the fact they could let the zombies in. I don't remember what happened next but it felt like I was in a different setting but the same situation and Paris Hilton appeared. I turned to the man from the car, and explained to him how I thought she was very underrated.

That's it. Very random sequence of events I know, but like I said it could have been a combo of different dreams.

Anyway I was wondering what I should do next. Autosuggestion seems to be compatible with me as it worked on the first go. Should I continue telling myself to recall dreams, or should I tell myself to do an RC during the dream? Or tell myself to do an RC if I see something specific like the sky or something? Because the autosuggestion worked last night does that mean I'll have to repeat the same words again or will it happen automatically from now on?

Cheers for all the advice guys!

from my experience you need to keep doing it, but more experienced people may say different.

so now you know you can do autosuggestion for recall, why not say something like, "i will realise i am dreaming" so you can lucid dream.

Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing. But after only three days of finding out about all this lucid dreaming surely it just wouldn't be that simple?

Good work Bing! Great progress. I would keep going with what you have been doing. Keep it up until you are remembering three solid dreams a night. If you would like, You coudl also tell yourself that you will realize that you are dreaming in your dream. Just don't overload yourself with instructions, or your mind get confused. But Keep up the great work

Cheers! Yeah I think for now I'll just keep up with the dream recalling and see if I notice a trend or something at the end of the week. At the weekend I might tell myself to realise I'm dreaming... but I just may get tempted to do it tonight.

I don't really understand how I could remember 3 different dreams without getting confused though. Last night's dream for instance could be a mixture of 2 or 3 dreams but I just got confused and put them together.

It will get easier, it always does. Learning to remember your dreams and being Lucid like them is very simmialr to that of playing an instruemnt. You practice and build up your skill level. You'll get there

Nice job Bing. Don't you just love but hate those zombie dreams? lol.

Ive tried auto-suggestion a few times, but never really had any luck with it.
Me, Im more of a WILD kind of guy, so Im interested in getting better at it so that I can incorporate it into my WILD technique as a back-up.

I use two different autosuggestions at two different times. When I first fall asleep, I tell myself, "I will wake after every dream and write them down."

Then, after I wake to write my dream down in the middle of the night, I tell myself, "The next thing I see will be a dream."

I like to separate it so I don't overload myself.
