Question im new and my hypnogomic imagery is different

hey. i have been interested in lucid dreaming for about a year ive decided to become fully comitted to learning because it appears to be a lot of fun. the reason why i have not been serious until now is because i am still in school i do have a life with friends so i try not to let dreaming interfer with that. i just hope that everyone on this helps me to learning. thanks.

one question. ive heard that most peoples hypnogonic imagery is actual flashes of scenerys and stuff. but mine at the beginning are just like not really to much color but like waves that seem to travel from one side of my vision to the other. and sometimes ill hear voices for a second but when i notice that im hearing them they go away and stop sounding real. will this type of hypnogmic imagery interfer with learning how to wild?cause ive wanted to learn but its REALLY hard.

HH/HI can be anything, it wont make a difference.

Hey PKL, nope, your auditory hypnagogic hallucinations sound spot on, and really HI varies and can be more abstract- or may really be phosphenes. Learning to WILD can either be aided or 'harmed' by HH, depending on which method you like to use to WILD. The Hypnagogic Imagery Technique relies on HH. Something like visualizing during a WILD may cause HI to be distracting, unless you incorporate it well into a visualization or unless you're good at blocking it out. Really, HI in general is not going to play a truly critical role unless you are using the HIT or unless you can't help but focus on them when you don't want to.

If you use the DEILD technique, you shouldn't be getting too many HHs, and that is technically still a WILD Plus, there is always DILDing!
