      Intro post!

Hi there, DV forum people! I hope I've posted this in the right topic, it's the first time I've created one of these things before.

I'm Charlene, I'm a Pisces, I like reading, chocolate and long walks on the bea dreaming.
I've been lurking around these forums a while now. Since then, I've only had a few lucids - they were all fuzzy and didn't last for very long but it's a definite improvement over "one fuzzy, short lucid dream back in 2004".
Decided to join up on New Year's Day - a resolution of sorts - but haven't posted anything until now. New resolution: break old lurker habits!

Why is it the only reality check to ever work for me is "pinch me, I'm dreaming", no matter how many times I jab my finger into my hand? I don't think "breathing through a blocked nose" will work for me. Too many hayfevers and nose bleeds make me open my mouth to breathe on instinct.
That's it, I'm going to look for a topic on this when I stop typing.

Aims: a decent lucid. Hopefully through DILD. Maybe I'll try another method when I feel more confident with my LD abilities.

Pisces, eh? I like fish. Welcome to Dreamviews.

If "pinch me, I'm dreaming" works for you, then I won't rain on your parade. :]

Have you started a dream journal yet?

Hey Charky You sound very motivated! And I for one am excited to see someone who prefers DILD

I too like dreaming and chocolate. You should try some dream chocolate!

Anyway, I don't have much else to contribute... or anything really. Let me know if I can help with your resolution in any way

Aw, thanks for replying! <- First emoticon post!
I don't know how to reply to three people at once, so I decided to answer everybody in a reply to myself... Here's hoping you look at this topic again!

      - In response to what was probably a rhetorical question, I don't know anyone who doesn't love chocolate. My mother eats it occasionally but that's not the same as hating it outright.
And dream chocolate is an idea! I don't remember ever eating in a dream, maybe it's something I can put on a Lucid Dream To-Do list.
Note to self: Make Lucid Dream To-Do list.

      - Yes, I've got a dream journal. I just need to get into a habit of writing in it when I wake up, and not several hours later when I've forgotten most of the dream...
And I want to post in that Dream Journal topic! I love reading in there!

      - All my fuzzy lucids have been DILDs. Since starting the journal, I've had no entries on sleep paralysis and maybe one involving hypagogic imagery so I think WILD is out... for now.
As for the other acronyms, I can't remember what they all stand for at the moment. There's a lot.
