New Here, want to know if method will work

Hi, I'm Matando and have been looking to lucid dream.

Now I've read a few tutorials, and have tried a few times with no success.

      Here's My Method:
I set an alarm on my cell phone, which is set to vibrate, and place it on my bedside table.
Now I go to bed at 10:00 and I have to wake up for school at 6:00 so I cant really do the
6 hour sleep to get a REM period. I have read that the first REM occurrence happens around
sometime before the first 2 hours of sleep or something like that, so I set my alarm for 1:30.

After the alarm goes off I turn it off and calm my self down to attempt sleep paralysis.

Could this potentially work, and if any adaptations that will improve it are possible what are they.

I'm am looking for sucess and have a great deal of confidence in myself

What is your goal here? You're... Trying to get sleep paralysis?

It is more difficult at the beginning of the night, since there will be more NREM time (and less dream, when you finally get into one). Try setting the alarm for 4:00 instead.

Have you started a dream journal?

Like Abra already mentioned, try doing this later in the night.

Also, you may want to get out of bed for a few minutes and try to get your brain working again (Wake Back To Bed). It depends on how easily you can fall back to sleep.

Don't focus too much on attaining Sleep Paralysis. It doesn't really work that way. Instead, try to watch yourself as you fall asleep. Watch your thoughts turn into dreams as you hold onto a small piece of your awareness.

I'll try later at night(time you guys suggested).

And, I'll try that instead of focusing on sleep paralysis, thank's for the advice

Also, I have started a dream journal, it has quite a few entries now(few weeks worth)

Wouldn't 6 hours of sleep only be at 4:00 giving you 2 hours to attempt to enter sleep paralysis?
