      Smile Cue the Intros!

Hi everyone, my name's Nikki! I'm 16 and live far away in the scary reaches of New England.

I learned about lucid dreaming maybe a year ago when a friend was talking about it. I haven't thought about since then because I moved and all this other crap. But now I'm ready because...lucid dreaming looks way too cool to pass up =)

It would be super-duper if anyone has any tips or whatnot for a wee 'ol beginner like me. Thanks!

      Hi ^.^

I guess the only advice I have to give is to be patient! I gave up lucid dreaming at first because I wasn't getting immediate results, but it takes practice. Make sure your recall is excellent before you attempt to lucid dream, and don't give up on any certain technique until you've practiced it multiple times.

Thanks everyone. Oh, yea, I am keeping a journal (currently -almost- emtpy) Patience is not one of my virtues, but I'll try my best =)

      Gas-Mask, good luck!

Take a peek at the tutorials, as well as through some of the dream journals of other people on the forum. That can induce lucid dreams for some people.

Good luck to you, and happy lucids.

Stick around, you're not mistaken when you think it sounds cool. It really is, in a lucid dream you can do anything that you want and there are no consequences

hello folks! Ive known about lucid dreaming for awhile now but I had'nt worked on it at all for some time thinking that it would be to difficult or i wasnt capable of it. ive done some experimenting with psychedellics and i had this habit of stopping and wondering if i was having "flashbacks"... one night I checked for flashbacks during a dream and boom I went lucid. my own weird little RC I guess. ive had that lucid and one other using the WBTB method. both were pretty short and in the first one i didnt do anything intereseting. i had been lurking on here at the time of mymy second lucid so, i went flying but destabilized and woke up. ive been cutting back on the MJ before bed and its helped me remember and be more aware of when im dreaming, so i hope this gives me an edge in my further attempts! im really working on WILDing now and the past few nights ive gotten some vibrations and soforth so im pretty excited. peace out guys =D

Welcome to DV everyone hopes you enjoy your stay; by the way I really like your avatar!

I would recommend you start doing "reality checks" as those alone can induce ludicity in dreams. If your confused on this specific topic, go here: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction.php

If you read through some of the tutorials and tell us which ones appeal to you we could be more of service to you.

CrescentFox, I did a reality check as so as I read your post! Lol. Anyway, um... I'm kinda interested in Dream Reentry, DILD and VILD. But I like WILD's too because it would be so cool to have lucid dreams whenever you wanted!

Oh, yeah, I like my avatar too =)
