      Was this a Lucid dream

I had a dream where I was working at taco bell... Mabye it was A&W. Anyway, at one point I was outside in a backyard and I realized this made no sense at all--I didn't remember ever applying--and why was I in a backyard? I said to myself that I must be dreaming. Then quickly I thought that was impossible and convinced myself it was real. When I woke up I was confused as hell and very surprised. I didn't know about lucid dreaming then.

So, was I lucid dreaming at all for a bit? I kind of knew I was dreaming for a little bit.

If you knew it was a dream, it was lucid.

You were lucid for a very short period of time, but then you talked yourself out of it. Heh.

It happens to the best of us. Next time you feel that you might be in a dream, instead of thinking it's impossible, try to do some reality checks to make sure. There are plenty of reality check lists and tutorials around the site.

Congrats on your lucid dream ^_^ Even if it was only for a few moments, it shows progress!
