I'm Memento. I have a somewhat casual and personal interest in lucid dreaming and dreaming in general. I don't have any expertise in the field but I'm looking to learn and hopefully find some interesting people to talk to. I've been able to visualize extremely well since a young age and my dream recall seems to fluctuate - I remember a dream per night almost every night but I have periods where I don't remember my dreams at all. |

Welcome to Dreamviews. Have you ever had a lucid dream before? |

Then going by that definition, yes. I realized that I always see myself or the center character in 3rd person when I dream, so I realized pretty quickly that it wasn't real. Typically, I woke up straight after. Since then, I haven't really put much effort into it but I've decided to actually attempt it seriously now. I've read a lot about the various techniques to induce lucid dreaming but I haven't tested them. |

Yup, if that awareness is gained during a false awakening, it's still a lucid dream. Sounds like you're in a good position to learn it |
