      Smile Hi everyone

      hi everyone,
i came across this site while searching something about my dreams,
which is, after going through this site, its "Sleep Paralysis"
lately i've experienced lots of SP,
even though im not trying to..
and my sp usually lasts for about 5 minits i think,
and the only way for me to get out of it is to fall back to sleep..
i can control my surroundings, the environment and stuff, and thats about it..
im really interested in attaining a lucid dream where i can control my actions in my dream.
but so far no luck.. the best i can do so far is just be able to realize that im in a dream, but then the environment and all is random..
      a few tips might help..
      thnx..

hey khaez. sometimes it is more fun to have no control over the dream and just explore.
If you are really interested in control, check out BillyBob's tutorial on dream control.

      Hi khaez

What do you mean, you can control your surroundings, but not your actions? Do you mean, you do not feel like you are fully in the dream, just watching it from an outside perspective?

You could start with the dream control tutorial for some general tips,

      hi robot..
what i meant was that, while in SP, my body wont move, im just laying there with my bed, but i can choose where i want to be.. for example, my latest SP was me waking up in the middle of the night, and then noticing that i cant move.. then im just staring in my room, and i decide that i want a bigger room, then everything starts to stretch, stretch.. and my room is huge.. but i am still laying there not moving..
im not sure if this is called sp or not, but its not fun..

      hi eppy,
i agree with you about the exploring stuff, but when im dreaming, i can sometimes control my actions, but my surroundings is random..
for example, my latest dream that i remember was that im driving around in a rx8 when suddenly, poof my ride turned into a pogo stick, and im suddenly bouncing around in a field, and then some other stuffs kept popping out (like a monkey bouncing around with me ).. it would be fun if i could attain one environment for a longer period, or maybe choose where i would like to be..

and thanks guys, ill check it out..

Try acting out an action while drifting into SP.

I have found that if I am aware I am in SP then all I do is look into the room.

If you think about being paralyzed then thats all you are!

When I learned not to be afraid of the paralysis it no longer became paralysis as such but a trigger to act because I was dreaming,if that makes sense?

Years ago all I had was SP and was afraid of it so that was "it" SP, until I come to sudden jolt and woke up.

Once I taught myself to relax while drifting into SP and not think about it or panic in any way I was then able to act on the dream and make it all begin.

As soon as I try to move part of my body like an arm or my head during SP I know i am aware of being paralyzed,so instead I move my whole self thus not concentrating on the paralysis, this is my action point.

What I am trying to say here is you should not think "am i in SP?" "You are" so act with your whole self and not try to test it.

This may be different for others? If I test it or fight it in anyway thats it.

If I go with it I act and start the dream, I say dream but at some points during the waking day my memory treats it as if it was an actual true memory and I have to recall my real actions to realise it was a dream.

Welcome to dreamviews khaez As for your problem, from what I know about SP, usually its good for WILDing, so, what I would do is just continue with SP concentrating on the images that pop up and eventually you'll slip into a dream. I think your problem lies with the fact that you are still thinking about being paralyzed, so, while you can change your environment at will, you feel your actions are being restricted because of the paralyzes. Just remember that if you can change the room, you are likely in a dream and since its a dream, anything is possible. Next time, you get SP and find that you can stretch your room, forget about SP and just think about moving

Ok, I know exactly what you mean. I hate that. The good news is, you are almost there. You are aware and in a dream. You just need to get unstuck from your position of lying in bed.

You can try separating a dream body from your body lying in bed. Try rocking back and forth, getting your momentum up until you can just roll to the side and right out of your body.

Another thing you can try is visualizing something very familiar, like a memory of something you do every day. Visualize it and try to engage your whole body and your senses. I like something that engages my sense of touch and movement. The idea is, you just switch over from the current dream scene (you lying in bed) to a totally new dream scene (your visualization).

The majority of my WILDs dump me into the position you are describing. If I don't end up there immediately, I will after a false awakening. Don't get frustrated, just think of it as another step towards your goal.

This is what I do when I fly out into the dream, at some point of SP my dream body has seperated from my physical sleeping body when I fly out.

I have never tried the rocking from side to side so may try this next time i am in SP.

Its a bit hard to explain but if I try to move my physical body during sp it is just fighting the SP so i move my dream body only.

The two actions feel different to each other, moving your real body and moving your dream body.

I dont consider this an OBE in anyway because my dream body is just that.

Yes! That is exactly what I am talking about. I don't really know how to explain it. It is similar to the feeling you get when you are dizzy, or when you get off a rocking boat onto solid ground. You still feel like you are moving, but you know your body is still. Your perception of movement is really separate from whether or not you are actually moving.

Well, it was never a waste of time in the first place(need to sleep to rest), but, now you have the added bonus of using that time to have some fun along with resting your body

Yeah, sleeping feels really good, even without dreams. Adding lucid dreams is just a scoop of ice cream for your pie. Damn, I love to sleep!

Nice analogy. Who doesn't love to sleep especially after a long hard day

i did it.. i did the rocking back and forth thing, and it worked..
at first i was like, "this is not working" but then i remembered what trayden said about the dream body, so i focused on that n start rocking back and forth again.. n before i know it, i was off to dream world..

and im starting to manage a little controlling, i followed the link that robot gave me and so far i did a few telekinesis, got exited and woke up..
