      Unhappy -sigh- so many questions

Hey guys. If any of you could facebook me, and chat with me on their, it would be way easier. or even, Joshua Williams (___-___-____) I don't mind calls. But I have some questions,

When I try WILD, I notice that I'm so excited by the thought of LD that I can't even sleep, and my eyes don't want to stay shut. Because of this, my eyes usually move around, and twitch while I'm trying to stay inanimate for like 25 minutes. My eyes opening ruined both of my body paralyze waves I almost had last night. Any suggestions? or does it even matter my eyes are moving under the lids.

When I dream, I in no way realize I'm dreaming, and wake up slapping myself in the face. Any ideas?

Does it matter what position you sleep in? and does holding your eyes closed with something work?

These are like, 3 of 30 questions lol

I edited out your phone number, it's not really safe to post your personal info, as Shift said~

i read in one of the tutorials on here, that you shouldnt move your eyes even when theyre closed. not even to look at any images you get in your head, just try to relax and let them roll by. sometimes i try to focus on whatever part of the image i can see, but never directly look at it unless its appeared right in the middle.
as for getting excited i guess its something you just have to overcome to really get started with this, as itll ruin your dream if you get to excited in it and all your effort will be for nothing. eventually i just told myself to stop caring, and if i fell asleep then oh well, sleeps healthy either way and theres always another chance.

      hope that helps

Don't let it distract you. Just be aware of it and don't concentrate on it.

Learn. You're not gonna get any answers that aren't on every DILD tutorial there is.

You might as well ask the rest, seeing as how I can dismiss- er, answer your questions in about 2 sentences each.

I would be willing to communicate through e-mail or PMs if you would like. You can try me here. [email protected]

Considering your questions, there are various theories on the eye moving thing. When you're in REM sleep your eyes will be moving anyway. Some people find it easier to WILD without moving thier eyes. You will find WILDing strategies to be varied as all heck. You must experiment. Maybe starting with DILDs and MILDs would be a more fitting first step.

As far as sleep position, it only matters to me if I am attempting a WILD-esque induction method. It has no effect on DILDs.

In due time, you will learn to LD. Spend some time on the forums & read a few books.

This might seem weird, but it's been said that lying flat on your back with your palms out is the best and easiest way to sleep. Most healthy too.

I try to do that almost every night however sooner or later I almost always roll over- somehow it becomes very "weird"
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus

Do you roll over while your awake or asleep?

I have heard of something called the "stop drop and roll" method (or something like that), it basically said your body will give you the urge to roll over and If you don't roll over your body thinks your asleep so it will go to sleep.

Wait, wait, wait, wait.... Joshua Williams? On my I-Pod, I downloaded some subliminal lucid dreaming aid, and it automatically accredited it to... one Joshua Williams. Did you create that?

EDIT: Oh, sorry, lol. It was ninja9578. I just saw the J-O and the W with the double l's and made a connection. Anyways, welcome to DreamViews. I don't really know what to tell you that nobody else already has, so... I'll just leave you with a kind welcome. I'm pretty experienced with DILD's and the theory of most lucid induction methods, but the practice is where I fall short. Either way, feel free to contact me if you have questions. You can talk to me through PM, or [email protected]

I usually wind up doing that too. If you're very sleep deprived you can fall asleep in almost any position though.
It also depends on the temperature, if you're sleeping in a cool place then your body will want to curl up and lay on it's side.
