I thought I've had a few (Mainly in nightmares [I realize I'm dreaming and so I close my eyes and wake up]) But I never exert great control in these (Hold being able to float 2 feet in the air once.) And when I do have them they don't seem as amazing and vivid like all the other stories here. |

Nightmare thing was before I read this site, I always knew how powerful the brain was and that you must be able to change your dreams like many people here can, but I always had that barrier of believing I may have been wrong. I found this site last night which gave me no time to dream again. |

I frequently have dream control without lucidity. It is like I just assume I can do whatever I want when I am in a dream environment. Maybe I recognize something about the dream environment on a subconscious level. I definitely think you can have control without lucidity. Or maybe a very very low level of lucidity. So low it doesn't even count |

Cool, so I'm really just wondering why my dreams haven't been as vivid as other's lucids. I'll be very disapointed if it just happens I'm the one out that will never experience a dream thats so vivid I can take a step back and admire my mind. |

I think there are several tricks to increase vividness in a lucid dream. You could perhaps have a look at this tutorial, though I'm sure a more experienced members will have more good links. |

April Ryan is my friend,
Every sorrow she can mend.
When i visit her dark realm,
Does it simply overwhelm.
I wanna no why mine aren't as lucid as other peoples start out... |

Perhaps it's when you're having your lucid dreams, if you have them in the middle of the night, they are not going to be as clear as if they happen in the morning. It's simply because your brain isn't as awake so it's not working as hard at clearity and colours. |
