Not noticing a very obvious dream sign.

      Hi everyone,

Recently, in a few dreams ive had lately, ive had the same dream sign. Ive had this sign since i can remember. It seems as though sometimes in my dream when i walk that i get this feeling that im wading through water, and movement is very restricted.
I understand that this is a common sign, however, here lies my problem...

Last night in a dream I had, I was walking somewhere (trying to run). I was next to a friend of mine. This effect took hold of my movements, and I said to my friend, "You know what really hurts me in my dreams, it always seems like Im wading through water when I try to walk."
I said this while it was actually happening to me.

Something similar happend in a previous nights dream. I was walking, thinking how much it sucks that it keeps happening to me in my dreams, meanwhile it was happening at the time, as i was struggling to walk!

*to paraphrase, in case its unclear. In my dream, I struggle to walk, as if im wading through water, and in my dream, while this is happening to me, i think about how much it sucks that it always happens to me in my dream.

      Kind of a cyclic thing?

I cant seem to get my mind to notice this dreamsign, even though I quite clearly associate it with my dreams.

Maybe someone can share some insight?

Wait, you associate it with dreaming, but now with being dreaming/asleep?

In my conscious mind, right now, while Im awake, I know that I should realise I am dreaming if it feels like I am struggling to walk.

Even in my dream, I tell the DC's around me that this particular thing that is happening to me right now, usually only occurs in dreams. Yet i still did not recognise the dreamsign and become lucid.

Does anyone maybe have some thoughts? Or is it just a case of being more aware of my surroundings and to keep practising?

      Oh, practice awareness.
Though what I do for RCs to work is think "When I feel this, then I'm dreaming" opposed to "I will realise that it is a dream", thats only me though.

Obvious ones tend to happen in early sleep when you are not thinking logically (hense the obviousness.) Because you're not thinking logically, the otherwise obvious dream sign goes overlooked.

I have the same problem. Last night I dreamt I was in my room with my brother, only to realize that I don't actually have a brother xD
