Have i had a Lucid Dream

      Hello
First of all i would like to say hello as i am new here and would like some advice on Lucid dreaming.

I believe i have had 3 lucid dreams but as i have not prepared for them as a lot of people on here have with no luck i am now doubting myself.

About 8 Months ago this not the dream LOL, i worked nights and was bored and came across this site on internet whilst surfing, any way read every think there was to know about lucid dreaming and even went on You Tube to see people explain it and thought to myself it a lot of work ie keeping a dream journal looking for dream signs etc.

But at the same time was really fasinated by it all, so for 1 week i wrote on my hand a word "Hello" and looked at it every hour and asked my self am i dreaming, this is all i done as did not want to go fully into the waking myself up losing sleep routine keeping jounals etc.

Any way 1 night at work it was quite so i went home for dinner as i live 5 mins from work and fell a sleep on the settee this is when i think i had my first lucid dream.

I was in my kitchen with my wife where i grabed her from behind and said lets have sex she said no but i said you cant im having a lucid dream and i can do what i want, i then stood back and said to myself its true im having a lucid dream and knowing this made myself fly out of the house into the garden at this point i said cant belive it i am lucid dreaming and got excited then woke up. (Thats the first Dream)

Any way after this a week later my work lost the nightshift so i went back on days and forgot about this site as on days more busy so not got time to surf net. Well now nights has started up again last week back looking at this site and thought ill try again, then 2 days ago thought i had anorther 1.

Last week i had a sexual dream and remeber it well so i went to bed to try and follow it on it was about a street full of good looking prostitutes.

Any way went to bed normaly but saying to my self i will have a lucid dream over and over until i started feeling my bed spin which made me feel a little bit queesy but not that bad i wanted to stop it then my legs started to tingle and felt like i had a mouse inside them running up and down as i could feel bumps in my leg but the thing that i notice the most was my hairs and my eybals i could feel all hairs standing up and my eyes like they were pruding though my eyelids, then i could see the street full of prostitutes i walked down the street where the houses on the side of the road came closer and closer until it was a dead end and was about the size of a room there was about 3 couples having sex when a woman came up to me and started kissing me then i laid down naked when she sat on top of me and we had sex then i woke up (That was the second dream)

Yesterday went to bed as normal done exactly the same felt all the same syptoms bed spinning, hairs standing up etc i tried to go back to that street full of prostitutes but this time i found myself in McDonalds car park where there was this big truck with the back doors open and inside the truck was the same room i was in the night before with the same people having sex, i walked into the truck and stood there naked this time no girl came up to me i approched a girl for sex but she turned me down, i then asked anorther girl but she turned me down too and ended up sitting there watching other people have sex then i woke up (That the 3rd Dream)

Now the reason i ask have i had a Lucid Dream was that in my first one i actualy said i am having a lucid dream and done what i wanted but yet got this dream with little work ie Drean Journal and waking up then going back so why did i do it so easy.

Then the second and third dream i did not at 1 point say to myself i am lucid dreaming like i did in my first dream but yet managed to dream about what i wanted to, so as i am new to this do these sound like lucid dreams or was it sheer luck i dreamed what i wanted to and was just a vivid dream that seemed like a lucid dream.

      Appriciate your thoughts.

PS Sorry about any spelling mistakes not the best speller.

Wow man what an amazing story!

It does sound like you have a lucid! But I don't know much about all this.

I am happy to hear you had them pretty quick (I think), lol.

Keep em up man, and love the "sex dreams", lmao.

My thoughts are your a natural lucid, could be sheer luck.
only about a handful have it.
my cousin is a natural too.
he thought it was normal to dream what he desires until he came to this site.

Hi Sianba, if in a dream you know you are dreaming, it is per definition a LD, you dont really need to quote to yourself "Hey I am having a LD". So if you had this realisation, it is a LD, else it might be a normal dream, just with a scenario that you wanted to end up in (dream incubation). It is quite easy though to lose lucidity pretty quickly, for sure if you end up having sex . Good luck with your further lucid adventures!

Congrats on having some great dreams. Sounds like you should definitely use sex as a dream sign

It sounds like your first lucid dream was a spontaneous DILD (Dream Initiated Lucid). It is fairly common for people to have these, even if they don't know what lucid dreaming is. Knowing what lucid dreaming is, and actively trying should score you a few of these. If you are remembering your dreams, you should notice these happening from time to time.

The other dreams sound like a WILD (Wake Initiated Lucid). In WILD, you don't really ever have the sudden, surprising realization you are dreaming. You just transition from waking directly into dreaming without ever losing track of yourself.

I think the difference between the two is the shock and surprise at realizing you are dreaming. In a DILD, you blatantly tell yourself that you are dreaming, sometimes even performing a reality check to be sure. In WILD, it is more of an obvious understanding, since you watch yourself enter the dream.

hi Sianba! congrats on your lucid dreams! hope you have many more!

why do you think he is a natural? naturals are ppl who have many spontaneous Ld's from early childhood and don't need any technique to have them. He used RC's combined with MILD induction- though It's very good that he had those LD's.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

Congrats, and welcome to DV Sounds like you can have success with WILD and DILD techniques pretty easily! Make sure to read as much as you can, especially the tutorials, as you said when you've got time to surf around. Good luck!

sounds like you have had some good luck lately, maybe you should try keeping the frequency up. don't doubt yourself stupid, that's what you don't want to do, especially with lucid dreaming
