Thread: An advice on continuing dreams...

For some reasons, this dream i just had made me shear some tears after i woke up from it. I loved i, and since i never usually dream alot i would love to have it again. In the dream, i couldnt be sure if i was at lucidity or not. Most likely i wasnt. I was wondering if it is possible to actually recontinue the story of the dream. And of course, if there is a way to continue dreams. I dont mind if its not lucid, or if i dont have total control over it, all i want is to have the same dream and continue the story in it.

I will share with you, even though its long, and im sorry for that :/

It started off with me and this girl* running from an old lady in the woods, up high in the mountains. I couldnt see the girls face completely, nor the old lady´s ( wich is something normal for me. i cant seem to focus peoples faces 100% in most dreams. some i can. ) we were running in the middle of a road, where up ahead to our gight was a wodden ladder, that lead to a higher ground. the girl climbed it first, then i did ( while doing that, i was afraid it was going to break, maybe because ive had similar dreams regarding breaking objects, making it impossible for you to get through them ) the ladder broke in two, one piece was somewhat attached to the cliff. I manged to climb up to her* she* continued her running. For some reason, after that moment, i had the feeling i was still in the lower ground, with the old lady there, but i had just climbed that ladder... but for some reason, i was in the low ground, in the road, while watching the girl* run into the woods. Then the old lady grabbed something, that i think was ( IM NOT ENGLISH SO IM GONNA TRY TO EXPLAIN: rope, that can throw water out of it, that thing people use to water their gardens, etc ) and started to attack me with it. I struggled but i somewhat manged to kill her. I pulled the body of the cliff, still fearing someone would see me... just like in real life... I met up with the girl*, and told her id be back to her* in some time. I went down the mountain just to get a flashlight, since it would be easy for us to see the path at night. as i went down, the whole scenario ressembled 90% to the area im living now ( Like the mountains connected to a construction site, currently in my living area ) The next part of the dream, i dont know if it was long or complex, but it was spent at these old ladie´s house ( the house looked EXACTLY like my dad´s from the outside, in wich ive spent most of my childhood there, when our parents hadnt broke up yet ( friendly process, no fights involved, nobody is mad ) after getting a flashlight from one of the old ladies at that house, i ran to the contruction site again, and i found this group of kids, wich i then convinced to go with me, or help me to get into the site, so i could go back to the mountain ( and again serveral hours had passed. i had promissed her* i would be back soon, and i was starting to get nervous regarding her* safety ) The whole landscape then changed, and i acted like it had been that way all the time. i didnt realize it hadnt been that way. I now had to cross streets in order to get to the mountain. IN some street few of my friends at school were there, so was my sister. I didnt want to go through that street, so i was eventually going to find another way to the mountain. After that i found my self entering a shed ( located also at the construction site ) inside it seeemd big, and there were these UVs just like in the disco. many persons were there, like a party or something. Then my sister appeared and i decided tht it was time to head back to the mountain, we started flying this purple spaceship near the ground, but then again, i found myself inside that shed again. I had previously bringed a couple of roses to her*, right after i got the flashlight, i dropped the roses in some bed, and later found them to have been in the hands of another girl. she thought it was to her, but then she turns and i found the roses crushed, while she looked at me holding them, knowing those roses were mine, since i had told her. I stepped out the door of that technologic-disco-big-like shed, to found my self srrounded by a group of pigs. just like in a farm. I grabbed a knife, since someone told me to to stabb them in order to get out. i stabbed one, its insides were cookies, i stabbed another one, and of course, nothing like real life, only weird stuff inside them ( i realized after i dreamt, that the insides of the pigs were redicolous, but in the dream i didnt realize that ) after i finaly manged to kill some of the pigs, it was already night time, much timed had passed, and i was worried about the girl* ..... i couldnt tell the exact way back to the mountain. The dream then stopped, as it was stopping i could feel myself meditating about the way back to the mountain.

*The girl... i seem to have many dreams regarding her, or girls ressembled toher, more like the perfect kind of girl, with the beautiful hair, etc... just like in the animes.

i hope i hadnt take much of your time with this. MY BIG QUESTION is: HOW CAN I CONTINUE DREAMS, and their STORYLINE?? I really really want to get back to that mountain.

A lucid dream is a dream in which you know you are dreaming. If you knew that everything was a dream, during the dream, then you were lucid.

Seems like you have awesome dream recall. Recording your dreams is a great way to start on your journey to lucidity. It also serves an obvious purpose for dream continuation (how can you continue a dream, unless you remember it? How do you know you successfully continued a dream, unless you remember it?). Our forum provides a place to post your dreams: Dream Journal.

Continuing the storyline is the easiest. Probably easier if you know you're dreaming. All you have to do is keep the storyline in mind. If you believe it is continuous, then all your dream characters will also believe, and they will behave accordingly. As far as consistency in setting (the mountain), the amount varies, and you may need to practice travelling there in your dream before it's stable.

Hi XLr8R, welcome to the forum! I think you might want to look up on "dream incubation". This is a technique to be able to dream about stuff that you want. I couldnt find any decent thread on this forum on the subject, but some googling always helps and you could check here, here and here. Or do your own searching ... good luck either way.
