      A few questions.

Is a DILD as vivid as a WILD?
Is there any transition while your dreaming once you figure out your dreaming?

I ask these questions because I have been pursuing WILDs. I though I might try a DILD but wanted to know if it was worth it and what to expect.

      -Thanks,
      Jason

P.S. How is a nap in midday different from going to sleep at night other than the time of day?

Vividness in DILD depends on the person I think, and how far they are at it. For me it has always been better than WILD, but I think it generally is the opposite.
And only the "Oh I'M DREAMING!!!!!" moment <.<

My DILDs are usually automatically more vivid compared to my WILDs, but I am better at DILD anyway. In my WILDs I usually have to "work" harder to get the dream vividness and stability going.

As to your nap question, I never tried WILD while napping, too hard for me. Maybe someone else has tried

      DILD vs WILD

As for me, my DILDs more vivid than WILDs, because it difficult to achieve a deep state of sleeping using WILD techniques.

Well I know a few times in my dreams my DC has said, "Hey, I'm dreaming." But then nothing ever happens. A couple of nights ago, I realized I was dreaming and then my dream just faded away. I though I woke up, but looking back on it, it may have been a false awakening. Do you get those from DILDing?

I dont think there is a difference between the techniques, I think what matters is what you do once you have become lucid.
The vivedness varies between each dream in my opinion. However I think WILD has one distinct advantage.

When you WILD you enter the dream while already fully aware allowing the control to be stronger intially whereas DILD you need to do things in order to make yourself more aware.

Yeah that stuff happens, its very normal and means you'r on the right track, just keep going . You also might want to do a RC when you wake up from a LD, just to be sure it's not a FA.

I was gonna try a WBTB. I'll try a reality check next time.
