Hi All, |

I think that no matter what, you can still move if you really wanted to. Because I know you can get out of SP. |

Well there are levels to SP, levels, of lucidity, levels of clarity, just like levels of sleepiness, and levels of hunger. When I am in SP, my body sometimes twitches. Um, it takes me maybe two or three seconds to move if I want to while in the state. I am sure if there was an emergency, adrenaline would kick in, and release me from it. |

Sleep Paralysis is just what it says, paralysis. It's when the body paralizes itself outside of the REM Cycle. |
it is exactly what slayer says, but also, you can, (i guess it depends on the person) move your body at will if you really want to (which would interrupt the whole process..) but in alot of cases some people cant which is why people who have sp disorder search so hard for a way to rid of it, so once again, it depends on the person. |
so, maybe there are a few acceptable ways to use the word? one is the "technically correct" way and one is the "looser" way? |
When I have SP I can not move, no matter how hard I try, other than opening my eyes and looking around. Sometimes I'm in an uncomfortable position and all I want to do is move, but I can't. I always need to fall back asleep then wake up later. That's SP to me but I guess it could be different for others. |
