Hey there, welcome to DV! |

Welcome to Dreamviews! If the hallucinations are freaking you out, I suggest remaining as calm as possible and keep repeating this in your thoughts, "Its fake. It isn't real. I cannot be harmed." That helped me get started with WILD. Also, if you are trying to DILD, I suggest starting a Dream Journal and using some positive reinforcement. Before bed try convincing yourself that you are awesome at Lucid Dreaming, and you will easily become lucid. Fall asleep expecting to become lucid! Good Luck! |

I've been trying to do WILD lately. I try to lie as still as possible as I am falling asleep both when I wake up in the middle of the night (which I usually do at least once, either to go to the bathroom or because my cat got in bed with me) and as I fall asleep for the first time. I always fall asleep before I experience any hallucinations or sleep paralysis though. What I HAVE found is that I am having sometimes up to 3 or 4 memorable non-lucid dreams per night (one last night that unfortunately kind of disturbing) that are more vivid than most I recall. Is this progress? I have been lucid twice very briefly. I usually forget to reality check when i'm actually asleep. |

Welcome to Dream Views Black Mantle! I know that it's hard to just "not be scared" from the crazy soundsyou hear and sights that you see. However, it's often easier to focus on a thought like "this will all be over in just a couple of minutes/second, and then I'll be in a fantastic Lucid." Focusing on the end result can help you to get through the undesirable parts. |
