      Loosing fear of sleep paralysis

Well I'm trying to OBE actually.

My problem here is when you start nearing sleep you can loose consciouness, I try to stay concious while I'm going to sleep and I start getting alot of vibrations and suddenly my body starts going limp and I tense up and my heart goes faster I get nervous and my body stays awake , I keep trying to do it and simply can't go to sleep I have to shut off my conciouness to go to sleep if this makes any sense.

Has anyone had this problem , and how did you overcome it?

I have memories of suddenly "falling," where all my muscles simultaneously go limp. It was the freakiest thing, and I tensed up.

You're a lot farther than I am. Congrats! Just try to remember that it can't hurt you. Instead of simply "feeling" it, analyze it. Instead of thinking of it as falling or some other sensation, simply say to yourself, "what an interesting sensation. It's simply astounding." Think of it as a sensation...it helps me, anyway. It also helps to diminish the pain inflicted by killer chili peppers.

Sorry for the totally random nature of my last post. I was kind of rocking out to Jimmy Buffett binaurals. I'm just happy you could make sense of it. But yeah, when I eat spicy foods, I can tolerate the heat more if I view it as a sensation, rather than just pain. It really is quite interesting, having something go from super-spicy to intriguingly tingly. Good luck!

It is a barrier for me too. Last night I tried again, first at 12 oclock, and again at 4. The 12 attempt, did induce SP, and I got some auditory hallucinations, but no WILD. I was attempting a V-WILD, and again at 4, no luck, but the intentions of both V-WILDs featured in the following dream, in which I was lucid for enough time to accomplish my objective. Interestingly enough, a DC whom I know from RL told me I was dreaming, and told me to accomplish this particular goal.

Keep at it, you will probably get used to it. I would imagine it would be easier if you were under the effect of a mild drug with a relaxing effect*

*an idea, I dont do drugs.
