      I'm new with some questions

Hello I found this site recently and already love it, even though I haven't had a LD yet lol.

My first question is that when you have a lucid dream do you loose sleep? I heard somewhere that when you have a lucid dream that you don't get real sleep.

Also what are some personal techniques that some of you use to have a lucid dream? I want to try to find what's best for me. Thanks for the help!

When you LD, it's pretty much the same as a normal dream. It's not any less restful (unless it's a lucid nightmare ) You do lose sleep, however, if you WBTB (wake back to bed.) You have to get up an hour earlier, and stay up before going back to bed. Check out the tutorials page http://dreamviews.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=75

Lucid Dreaming (generally) takes place during REM sleep. You will be dreaming anyway, the only difference is that you will be aware. You will still get your deep sleep and whatnot throughout the night. Lucids don't last the entire night.....I wish they did
