      eyes blinking fast while closed

      hi,
today i tried doing a WILD in the middle of the day but got distracted by my phone ringing. Just before that i tried concentrating to keep my eyes still while closed. Then suddenly i felt my eyes went blinking(even though they were closed the whole time) many times a second.
What could that be? Havent seen anyone mention it in here i think.

REM sleep (rapid eye movement) maybe. Its when your brain is just working so hard. Just a guess not for sure.

I know what you're talking about, I've experienced that a few times with WILDs and my advice is to try to ignore your eye movements. The more you concentrate on trying to make them still, the more likely they will start doing that annoying blinking. This is not REM...that doesn't occur until after you are asleep.

The only time my eyes usually blinks when I'm trying to sleep is when there's a high conce-
ntration of light in the area. Were you in an well illuminated area when trying to
WILD? This may play a large factor in why your eyes are blinking rapidly.

I thought the whole point of WILD was to trick your mind and make it believe you are asleep, making it go into REM state.

No, you are mixing SP and REM up.

This happened to me last night, its like my eyes were put in a blender or something. They also were really painful for a while, it felt like my eyelids were made of sandpaper/were getting stabbed with nails. Anyone know if that is normal?
