      Another new dreamer

      Hello!

I'm Marius and I'm from norway. I heard about lucid dreaming a few years ago and found it quite interesting, but I never really cared enough to try it out as I'm really busy with school, and lucid dreaming is something that apparently requires a lot of effort. But recently I have actually started to get lucid dreams very often. Usually it is about 2 times or more each week. I have never kept a dream journal or anything like that, so I guess that I'm just lucky

I usually see something in my dream that is really really absurd, and then realize that it's a dream. I guess my mind is just screwed up

I usually only get to do one action or so before i wake up. Like last night when i killed death with a fly-kick...

I'm really enjoying these small lucid dreams and i want them to stay longer. I've tried shouting stupid things to make them last, and not fade away. And I've also tried spinning around, but it usually just ends up in fading to black and then waking up.
Perhaps is should try to set myself some goals to do while I'm lucid? So that the first thing i do is not to think about what I am going to do.

      Marius

your mind is not screwed up. thats exactly how a lot of people become lucid.

if that was the case then i guess were all mental!

Welcome to Dreamviews! It sounds like you have some natural LDing ability. Stabilization techniques can help you stay in your dream (dream spinning, feeling textures, looking at your feet, RCs, etc.). I often times find it difficult to stay in my dreams once I begin to wake. I suggest trying DEILD to counter this! Here is the tutorial: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=62769m Good Luck to you!

      Welcome!

Looks like youve got some of that ol' naturality that we all strive for *thumbs up*

As for stabilizing, yoshi already posted a link but if you have any specific questions that you cant find aswers to, feel free to PM me.

One thing that you might be doing wrong with the spinning is (as most people do) you are spinning too fast. spin slow enough. if you spin too fast, everything will blur together and you will either become even MORE unstable or simplly wake up.

If you continue to have troubles with staying in the dream after reaching lucidity, you could try to DEILD(Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream). It is basically a shortened WILD and is great for reentering dreams that you suddenly wake up from.

Here is the DIELD tutorial:-> http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=6124
