Any tips on the best reality checks?

Anyone here have any tips on the best method use for a reality check? The way I perform my reality check is I hop like a bunny and if I float, I know that I'm dreaming. But this morning I did it in my kitchen and totally forgot my floor was very slippery and fell right on my butt... lol while I was on the floor I was laughing about it and still was wondering if I was dreaming because I didn't feel any pain, but still I think I should change my RC

The nose pinch one works wonders for me I also want to try the finger-through-palm one, because everyone says it looks great, but I always forget to do it in a dream

Yeah, the nose pinch is an effective one. Usually you want to have a sequence of around 3 just in case one fails. I use the nose pinch, looking at your hands then trying to put your finger through the palm of your hand if I don't need to be inconspicious.

If I'm trying not to get noticed then I just pass my hands somewhere into my vision and count my fingers out of the corner of my eye.

You could also try Naiya's way of reality checking where you question yourself and your surroundings by asking yourself how you got where you are and if you remember putting those clothes on etc. The link to her post is here

Another good reality check is to look at a clock or text, look away, and look back at it. If you are dreaming, the text usually changes.

I'm a fan of this one. It's much more about increasing your general sense of awareness. Reality checks aren't that great on their own unless you have the awareness to back them up. The nose pinch is a great one to confirm lucidity, and is not nearly as likely to fail as some of the others.

Yes, the "look at a clock or text, look away, and look back at it" I've been doing as well but I think we have to add a little emotion while we're doing RC because I've noticed when I do add emotions it reminds me to do it more often later during the day

Put your hand into your pocket and pull something out. Ask yourself if it should be there/makes sense.

I tend to do this and get fun results like forks, scissors and other random things.
      (Obviously only when dreaming )

I've got a bracelett around my wrist, and a cross at the other hand. When I see any of these during my normal day, I do a reality check. Just looking at the cross, then hide it behind my back or something, and then looking at the other hand with the bracelett, and shifting. Do that 3 times, pluss the finger through palm trick.

There is a tutorial out here somewhere that says that you should really think when you do a reality check, think about how you got where you are, if everything makes sense, rub you're hands together, see if it feels right and such!

Jump, if you slowly start to float you're likely dreaming!
