It's crazy fun! I've had eight lucid dreams since the beginning of october (since joining this forum), but I must admit it may be hard to control your dreams at first. It gets easier with practice.

I suggest the DILD technique, and the WILD technique to start out. You can find tutorials for both of them here. =D
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Having a lucid dream (if you're really aware) is just like real life, only you can have laser vision, fly, and do ANYTHING you want. It's very realistic. It is, in my opinion, absolutely awesome.

You can eat stuff in your dreams, too. I've only had a few lucid dreams, but food tastes good.

      Thumbs up

My gosh you guys are easy.

I do... Other... things in my dreams.

I must say immersing senses other then touch or sight in my dreams sounds very interesting!

      Now more on topic.

Lucidity for me is a journey, Not a destination. Every LD is different and you get to explore what you want. Imagine a world where you have complete power over everything. Imagination, unlike reality, has no bounds. To be in a world much like reality, but being able to manipulate it so you can do whatever your heart desires is incredible!

      Astral Projection

AP is under the catagory of OBE or "Out of body experience" anyone can do it. Some people do it easier then others.

Step 1 setting the mood. You need to be in the right state of consciousness, prefurably, the theta state of mind (i believe). this is clued by that of what most refer to as "half asleep", basically, if you can calm yourself enough, by Any means, and make it that you cannot at All (or barely) feel your body/skin. Use meditation and affirmations to tell each and every part of your body to fall asleep/deactivate, this causes them to go into repair mode or sleep mode or whatever, basically they shut down and go into repair mode.

clues to know your doing it right. If your body feels contorted, spinning, bent. Your moving your astral body and are experiencing it.

Step 2, vibrations! This will seem the Most bizzare and most "scarey" but it is required usually and completely normal. once in the right altered state of conscious, Think "vibrations"... for me all i have to do is think of the word.. and instantly my body starts buzzing all over like a dang cell phone. Explanations of this I have heard are you are speeding up the vibrational rate of the atoms in your body. The end of this stage usually ends with the feeling of electricity/static all around you.. this usually doesnt last long, again this will probably cause your heart to race cause it may be very intense and youll need to keep your mind clear and stay calm if you want to go out of body after this.

step 3, dont try and jump out just yet. It will be hard the first few times. Youll feel a stickyness on where your astral body and physical body connect.
try and ease your hand out, you do this by, well its hard to explain, its not like dreaming where you just do it. When moving out of body, you have to "not try" when you do it. But that may be just my experience.

look, all i have to say is, be careful.. though this is not physically dangerous (though i have heard it is) stay away from dark spots, spots of light are good. You can ask Any question, or go back in time from here, and probably the future.

Dreaming is fun.. but truely awakening is divine.

I had chocolate cake a few nights ago, actually. It was good. <3
You just have to make yourself will it to taste good, though, because if you're unsure about it... Yuck! It may turn out tasting like rotten mushrooms.

OMG, I often dream about eating cakes and chocolates and caramels, and they taste EVEN BETTER in dreams than they do IRL.

Plus, sometimes, you can dream about a concoction that may not exist... like I had this one chocolate I called "The Caramel Latté." It was a conical white chocolate marbled with caramel, and a liquid filling of caramel-flavoured coffee...

That was the most amazing thing ever...

The best part was that I could eat them forever and not get sick and they don't have calories!

Even if you arn't controlling your dreams but still lucid, even knowing your in a dream and getting a really cool feeling about it is worth it but do still try to exert control. I don't know about AP though. For me and the things i can do it is my weekly 10 minutes of heaven.

Lucid dreaming is like what I imagine being a god is like. You have total control of your world and are completely immortal. You can fly, walk through walls, have sex with anyone that you want. Check out the tutorial section for more details, you can find it in my tutorial, for you I'd recommend dream control, how dreams are made, and DILD.
