Just had my second ld last night

      Hi everyone,

I've recently been doing a lot of research on lucid dreaming and had my second one last night. I won't bore you with the details but I was able to try rubbing my hands together to extend the dream and it worked. I also got into a fight that woke me up after I took 2 punches. It was weird because i didn't hit the other guy but he still got thrown back like I did hit him.

I hope to learn a lot here and become better at exploring my dreams

Nice job on your second LD! Rubbing your hands is a very good way to stablize a lucid dream.

My sig is having issues getting to the right size

      Welcome to DV!

Another good way to stabilize your dream is putting your hands on an object in the dream or on the ground. Spinning is also said to help, but spinning doesn't work for me personally, so I don't recommend it. Congrats on your lucid dream!

Welcome to Dreamviews and congrats on your progress thus far ! You sound like you may not have much problem becoming lucid quite frequently. Just keep practicing/working hard and you will be able to accomplish your goals. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. Good Luck in your future efforts!

Hey congradulations and welcome to the community

What helps me is setting a goal about how often to become lucid. Like for example, my goal is atleast 2 lucid dreams a month. That helps set my mind to it.

As for stablizing dreams, what usually works for me is focusing on an object like a tree. You'd be surprised on how your dreaming mind can recreate images in such clear detail.

Voice commands are also helpful in guiding lucidity such as shouting "clarity!". Haven't tried it myself but I have recently used a vocal command to help me fly by repeating "gravity doesn't exist in dreams".

I too don't recommend spinning because 3/4 times it has woken me up although some may swear by it.

      Good luck
