      Few Q's.....WILD and LD stuff...

Like I said in my post a day or two ago..I remeber a few lucid dreams, but most of them were in nightmares. Should I try WILD? Or will the hallucinations scare me back fully awake? I've read the tutorials on WILD, but I still have some questions not answered...If you succesfully do WILD to enter a lucid dream, do you remain fully consciense while you enter the dream world? If so, does it make any difference if you are tired or not, or if it is dark or bright? I don't take naps in the day, but if I were to, do I just lay there still until I get sleep paralysis and enter the dream world? If it makes no difference if I am not tired and it isn't dark, I would probably rather try WILD first during the day. What do you think about when you are trying to do WILD, because I remeber when I was sick, I layed on the couch for an hour not moving and trying to fall asleep. I wasn't moving but I couldn't fall asleep, and I don't think I got sleep paralysis, unless I didn't feel it(never experienced it, so I don't know how it feels, but I didn't have hypnagogic hallucinations). I tried not to think about anything, and didn't move for at least an hour, and I was under the blanket so it would be darker, because I fall asleep alot better when it's dark.

Long and wordy I know...but I have a few questions about LDs.

How much control can you have in a dream after you 'master' having lucid dreams. Can you pretty much do anything you want, like driving a car, playing instruments, and talk to friends?
And, what happens if you ask someone in your dream to teach you how to do something you know nothing about, or you grabbed a random book in the library. Like, if you asked someone to teach you how to play guitar, and you don't know anything about guitar, what would the person show you? Or if you grabbed a book in the library on a subject that you didn't know anything about. What would be in the book?
I wonder if you would have a guilty consciense in real life if you did something bad in a lucid dream, like stealing or murder....

If anyone can answer any questions, thanks.

Wow thats a bunch of questions. I will try to answer some based on what I have read on other's experiences.

do you remain fully consciense while you enter the dream world?
Yes. This is the whole point of the WILD

does it make any difference if you are tired or not
Yes. If you are really tired, you are much more likely to fall asleep normally into a non-lucid dream.

I don't take naps in the day, but if I were to, do I just lay there still until I get sleep paralysis and enter the dream world?
You would do it the same way as a WBTB or any other time for WILD

What do you think about when you are trying to do WILD
Usually what you want to dream about, but this sometimes causes people to fall asleep regulary. Most people just focus on keeping themselves awake by counting breaths or saying mantras.

How much control can you have in a dream after you 'master' having lucid dreams
Usually "masters" have complete control but they do fail occasionally.

And, what happens if you ask someone in your dream to teach you how to do something you know nothing about
Either your mind would make something totally up, or it would be based on any knowledge you currently have on it. For instance a guitar, the person would just say something like "you hold the strings and you strum them" more or less. This may not be the same for everyone, but this has happened to me in a non-lucid dream.

As for the rest of your questions, I will leave that to the experienced people. And remember, all my answers are based off of other's experiences, so if I'm wrong, sorry

I actually did a WILD today (first one!) and I found it to be much easier that doing a DILD or MILD, only because I don't care to do RC's, lol

Everyone experiances HH/HI differently. Read up in the tutorial section on them. I've read that some people here will hear whispers, one person has heard horrible sounding screams (not to scare you, lol). Personally, I just see colors and spots and the falling/ turning over feeling. I also have a fan running because I don't like silence, so that's some white noise for me and I can hear it fade in and out... but nothing scary for me. You have to do it for yourself to see how you do

If you succesfully do WILD to enter a lucid dream, do you remain fully consciense while you enter the dream world? If so, does it make any difference if you are tired or not, or if it is dark or bright?
For a WILD you should be fully concious the whole time that you're dreaming. I think being tired would be best and help you fall asleep quicker. Doesn't have to be dark. It can be light, but everyone's different

What do you think about when you are trying to do WILD
I've heard you let your mind wander and let it think, but don't think about what you're thinking about. Just let them pass. You need to focus on them enough to stay concious, but not so much that it keeps you up. Make sure you're comfortable. That will make it easier. Also you could repeat mantras or just count your breaths. I find this easier because they are easier to forget and not focus on... like counting breaths. Don't concentrate on the number either. I've found myself repeat a number a few times before moving on, lol. It's just something to keep your mind awake enough to fall into SP and then into a dream. Mantras or counting seems easier for me than "watching" my random thoughts pass (I have an active mind, so that's not good when trying to get an LD)

Can you pretty much do anything you want, like driving a car, playing instruments, and talk to friends?
Yes, anything you can think of. I actually remember having a dream where I spoke German (I do know German, but I knew it really well in my dream)

Thanks, I will try WILD tonight. It was alot of questions I know...
So since you concious/awake when you enter a dream, you can do WILD when you are totally awake, not tired, and there is a lot of light in the room?
Again...Thanks for the answers, I'll try doing WILD tonight.

I think you have to be tired enough to fall asleep. If you're hopped up on sugar and caffieen, then you're not going to sleep. But if you calm yourself down enough and you're comfy, then you could fall asleep even if you're not tired (peaceful and comfy will cause you to become tired and fall asleep I'd assume)

As for light... if you can fall asleep in it normally, then it shouldn't be a problem
